An Example of Computer Abuse
I will use myself as an example on this computer abuse with regards to duplicating a copy of a vcd or dvd that are given and shared to us via my officemates.
News agencies, Optical Media Board and Implementing arms of the government . Is trying to seek and prosecute violators regarding the reproduction of this media.
Nero 7.0 or (lower than this new version) is the software that is installed in a computer once yu purchase a CD writer or a DVD writer. The nero have the capablility to detect whether the VCD or DVD you are copying is a licensed copy of not. Before the Nero will start burning the licensed copy it will prompt the user that the copy is licensed and I am responsible for any punishment that the law gives. After reading the law and the cautions provided I still proceed with the copying of the licensed copy. In the back of my mind I feel guilty since I ignored the law and the cautions provided in the CD thereby violating the morals of copying a CD or in our laymans term we call it "Piracy".
The very act of doing the copying making use of the CD writer is an abuse of my computer because I did use the computer an accessory to the crime I making.
I have friends in the local offices that share in formation over the intranet. Some offices are luckier than the others that they are provided with card readers. This guy from the other department got hold of the scandals and tried to mention that he has a copy in his video flash memory. This guy got horny and wanted to have a copy of the scandal that happend in SLU hospital. The person made a copy in one of the directories in the intranet and mind you its more of the storage than expected. There was an audit the following week and there it was found out that the computers was used and abused to transfer a file that is not supposed to be in that directory.
end of the computer abuse.
