| Definition of Computer Crime
During 12th Congress speech of President Macapagal Arroyo, Lots of crimes where said in her that she instructed the congress to formulate measures laws and precautionary strategies. Some of the laws to be formulated will be to eliminate the crime of Credit Card Fraud, Breach of Security in the Internet, The president calls for institutions like ITC NTC and DOTC for stronger protection against computer fraud and abuses and other cyber-related fraudulent activities.
Most of the computer crimes observed in the Philippine setting as of the present scenarios are credit card fraud, hacking, spread of virus electronically and sell of human flesh in the internet.
With the Internet Privacy and Security Law, computer fraud, abuses and other offense covered by the cyber-related fraud, abuses and other offense covered by the cyber-rlated fraudulent activities will be clearly defined ( If the implementors are not the violators). More importantly, it will provide clear-cut penalties for the violators. It will also give authority to the National Secuity Council to conduct investigations on computer rlated crimes in order to safeguard overall national security
