In the summer of 1998 two troubled youths contemplated what they were going to do with their summer, when they were hit with a revelation. They would start a band. One of those youths; Jimbo, decided he would take up the bass, and the other; Eric, was still unsure of his musical future. With that notion in their minds, the two friends set out in search of bandmates. Using an unconventional method of asking people with no musical ability, they found the two missing pieces of the band. Their friend Scott, volunteered to take up the guitar, while Dylan called dibs on the drums, leaving only one thing for Eric to do; vocals. With a quartet and the name Iniquity, they began the long HARD road to becoming a real band.
The four friends slowly aquired their respective instruments and began to unravel the mysteries of music. As time progressed it became evident that four members would not give the band the desired sound, so they asked of their friend, Patty, to join the band as a second guitarist. With a new member the band pushed ahead, each day becoming more skilled at their instruments . . .yeah right . . .
After abandoning the name Iniquity for the name Black Sky, the band began to write some music, but things were not all well. The bands guitar player Scott, left the band due to creative conflicts, and the quintet was once again, reduced to four. Now with partial songs written, and a new name, Requiem of the Soul, the band pushed onward and began to search for another member. However, unknown to the band, they would face another obstacle (dunh dunh DUNNNNH!). Dylan, the bands drummer, was forced to leave due to personal reasons, and now they were cut to three.
Patty eventualy left due to creative differences and it was dropped down to two again, but that would not be for long. Brian, the guitarist from Jimbo's sideproject Bolimia. The duo was jumped to four once again.
Due to the chance meeting of another talented musician, Eric met Kerrey; another extremely talented guitarist to possibly to add his influence, unfortunately due to conflicting schedules, the group has not met.
Now the three members continue to write they're creative mix of genres, unleashing a new wave of heavy music on the world while still loooking to fill their lineup. Progress is slow, due to lack of equipment, talent and the fact that one of the mebmers lives under the tyranical reign of an evil dictator. But they are all content with the progress made
. . . because they have no lives . . .
