Greetings Sorors:

Iota Alpha will celebrate it's 30th year of existence at JMU on December 11, 2001. Wouldn't it be nice to celebrate it in grand fashion? Some of you will recall the 20th reunion in 1991-2 (almost 10 years ago!) which was planned and hosted by then-current members of the chapter. Even though it was on a small scale, the reunion was a huge success and we even had a Founding Soror present! My vision for the 30th reunion is that it would primarly be alumnae-driven though planned in collaboration with the current chapter.

The purpose of this email is to see if there is at least generic interest in having a big reunion in 2001. Of course it is 2 years away, but given the magnitude of such a large event, it will be necessary to mark our calendars now and begin the plans. When I was home two weeks ago, several sorors expressed interest in having another reunion similar to the one we did at Soror Lisa Cannon's (maiden name) parents' home in Chantilly, VA. I believe this was held in '94? The initial thought was to have it next year in 2000, but since we are right on the heels of our 30th anniversary, it seems logical to wait until 2001 and have a really big celebration.

No details have been established yet; more info will be produced and disseminated once sufficient interest has been determined. Please take one minute to email me back (fnpda@uaf.edu) and let me know if you'd be interested in participating in the reunion. Also, if you would like to be a part of the planning in any capacity, let me know that as well.

Thanks for taking time to read and respond to this request.

Yours in Delta, Soror Pamela Anthony Spring '91, #6

p.s. - Congratulations to the chapter sorors who won the JMU Homecoming stepshow. IA has won the step show every year for the last 4-5 years or so!!
