Memories (Part 2): Written by Exodus, Original Story by Exodus

The three members ran to meet each other.
“They’re after the metal!” shouted Andrew.
“Ah’ll protect the residential end o’ the town, the wives’ll be safe with me in
the area, Andrew, you should look for survivors in the wreckage!” explained
Carl.
“Then I’ll protect the shopping district.” finished James.

“IS ANYONE IN THERE!” shouted Andrew, searching the flaming transports that had
been blown into the village, a boy with straight black hair that was parted to
the sides, crawled out, wearing a grey shirt, rolled up blue trousers with
braces.
“What’s your name, sonny?” asked Andrew, reaching out to pick him up.
“Zimmerman... Lewis Zimmerman, please... My family are in there...” he said
nervously.
“It’ll be okay, kid.” said Andrew, climbing into the blazing boat.

James spoke on the communicator to the prince, “We can’t make it, we’ve got
trouble here!”

“I understand.” said Edward on the other end, “I have Evia’s group, the Corelles
and the McDeio’s, we’ll be fine. Good luck.”

From the blazing transport came two parents and a chubby kid with black hair.
“That’s all of them.” said Andrew sadly.
“But...” spluttered Lewis.
“I’m sorry kid... There’s three bodies in there...”
“Mother... Father... Patricia... Why couldn’t they have been saved?!...”
cried the young boy.
“Maybe if there had been a doctor around, something could have been done...
Let’s get you out of here, kid!” said Andrew, leading him away.

The leading gangster confronted Carlos Ruwin in a navy blue suit, tie and hat,
“I’m an authoritative of the Silva Corporation, we want that metal you dug up!”
he said majestically.
“No doubt ta use as a destructive weapon, you ain’t gettin’ it!” said Carl
raising his sword.

“I’m a member of the Coeraxian Government, we order you to hand over the metal!”
said a soldier in green and gold armour.
“Coerax is a kingdom full of wars, and your government will only use it for more
destruction.” said James angrily.
“You’re dead. We’ll destroy this town and find it under the debris and corpses
we’ll make of your people and property!” he replied.

“Where’s the metal?!” shouted Bandit, the leader of the Zondai Thieves, he
looked Earth-Chinese in origin, scars lay under his eyes and his hair fell down
on his forehead as if it were stuck there, he wore ragged clothes and
Earth-Arabian-style cloths.
“You won’t have it!” shouted Andrew.
“Kill a few people, my loyal thieves, then they’ll change their mind.” said
Bandit.
As the parents and child tried to escape, the thieves jumped them from behind,
and the cutting and slashing sounds followed, the parents fell with deadly
wounds to their necks.
“NO! Mom!... Dad!... You monsters!” screamed Pedro, the chubby kid who was now
an orphan.
An explosion blew the thieves away before they could hurt him.
Andrew pulled the kid away to safety, but he swung his arm back so that Andrew
would let go, he refused to be helped by him.
“Why didn’t you just give them what they wanted?! My parents might still be
alive!” he screamed at the scientist, before running into the battlefield and
out of sight.
“Hey kid! Come back here!” shouted Andrew.
He couldn’t do anything to stop him if he wouldn’t accept his help.

Carl leapt over the lead gangster’s razor cards and triple-kicked him in the
face.
“It won’t end here!” he screamed, “More will follow until our boss gets what he
wants!”
“But it won’t be you.” said Carl simply raising his sword and bringing it down
on the man.

James sidestepped a fury of knife attacks and swung his sword, the entire hand
grasping the blade slid across the soil and into a wall before stopping.
The soldier swore, and used his sword with the remaining hand, “I’LL CUT OFF
BOTH YOUR HANDS FOR THAT!!!”
“I’m sorry, but I like them just the way they are.” replied James smoothly.
The soldier charged and feebly swiped forward, but it was poorly planned, his
weapon hand was obviously the one lying next to the bar.
Driving the sword into the man’s back, James had won.
The soldier was still alive and crawled away.
“Take your wars and destruction back to your own kingdom!” said James, walking
in the opposite direction.

“There’s too many of them!” shouted Andrew, “They’re getting into the town!”
The three fighters ran forward fearing the worst, but it seemed the townspeople
were ready to fight.
The young man, Pierre, ran out his restaurant clubbing a thief with the frying
pan and waving a cleaver, they didn’t want to mess with that and ran.
“Get out of mah restaurant, you dirty rats!” he shouted in an Earthling-French
accent.
Tiffany, the hairdresser lady, and her husband Walter who worked closely with
Pierre threatened the gangsters with tools such as razor blades and scissors.
The rest of the shop owners and residents picked up anything remotely sharp, and
scared away the evil doers with their number.
“Whoa, I’m not that desperate for a piece of metal!” shouted Bandit, “Retreat,
my thieves!”
Without their leader, the gangsters ran away next, and finally, seeing their
general on the floor, bleeding heavily and missing one of his hands, the
soldiers also decided to leave.
There were too many people willing to fight now, and even with their
inexperience in fighting, one of their swordsman wouldn’t defeat one hundred
angry people without becoming a major casualty.
It didn’t take much experience to drive a sharp object into someone who would
given the chance do the same to you.

“We’ll have to move the metal to an isolated place until the news dies down.”
said Andrew, “Too many have died because of it.”
“But where could you possibly hide it?” asked James to his close friend.
“My cousin has a hideout in the west kingdom Keserey, it shall have to be kept
there...”

Meanwhile, in Rolem, a town located in the kingdom of Haprin, north of Scion,
the demons were slowly being defeated, thanks to the Corelle duo and Danny and
Moira’s heavy weaponry.
Charles wore a white and blue police-like uniform from his days as a security
guard in an advanced kingdom/ domain called Nettek, he had spiky blonde hair,
beard and tiny moustache, his wife Cecilia wore skintight black leather and had
long straight blonde hair.
The two kept together, back to back, and slashed and cut at the attacking
demons, one flew from above and Cecilia took initiative and leapt off her
husband’s back and thrust her claw upwards.
Danny McDeio used his bazooka to tear apart a group of demons surrounding the
prince.
He wore a tight binding white shirt because of his large stomach, and black
trousers with braces, he had a large quiff of red hair, and a half shaved beard.
Moira had spiky, curly brown hair, a black coat with strings, brown boots and a
green skirt that resembled a kilt.
She shot out a green oval shaped projectile at a group of demons, who stared at
it, not knowing it was a grenade until it was too late.
One last demon flew down at Evia, Ux ran as fast as he could towards her and
took the blow, getting slashed in the stomach.
Shocked at this, Evia quickly picked up her weapon and thrust into the demon’s
neck before it could do anymore harm.
She caught Ux as he fell.
“Ux, you’re hurt... Why did you come running so fast?” asked Evia.
Ux had always been protective of her, but for a reason he dared not tell.
He loved her.
He wasn’t particularly a strong man, and the tribe of Yura had a tradition that
the king must be strong, so that he could protect the tribe from the demonic
beastly animals that lived in the area.
“You’re our queen...” he replied, he realised that this might have been the time
to tell her his feelings and cursed himself.
“Oh...” said Evia disappointed, she felt something between her and Ux, but
thought it might be strange, a queen admitting love to someone like him.
They both loved each other, but were afraid of what the tribe might think of
such a love.
Ux swore to himself that day, that he would become stronger, and then no one but
Evia herself could stop him from loving her.

In the Demon Lair, the mother and leader of the majority of demons (and Edward’s
nemesis), Queen Zycote, watched the events through her orb.
Her top lackeys also watched:
Illusio, master of illusions, with a pale green wisp-like appearance, and
holding a crystal ball.
Captain, a mutated pirate that had merged with a demon, holding two large swords
majestically, with a deformed face.
Vampira, a bat lady-like demon, she had long wisp-like hair that floated upwards
as if in water, she wore black robes and had dark blue skin.
Reflect, the mirror demon, he looked as if he were made of crystal.
Chrono, the time demon, a cheeky looking midget with an ever-turning swirl on
his stomach.
And finally, a group of seven lesser demons with no conscience, they were
coloured, dark blue, red, green, pale green, purple, orange and pink.
“So you think you have won, do you Edward?” she said in her whispery voice with
a slight Earth-Russian accent, “Each time you or your friends defeat one of my
demons, their soul returns to me and builds my power. Soon... Very soon...
Your world shall become part of the Demon Lair...”

Meanwhile in Vilem, a small village in the northwest kingdom of Fiora and the
home of the mystic, Titus Jay, the Great Elder arrived and saw the reason for
the disturbance in communications, a woman, with purple and red skin, wearing
scale and bone-like parts around her body, was making a mess.
With one hand, she covered her eyes, glowing with red light, the other was
waving around, shooting beams of chaos energy everywhere, it looked like she was
trying to stop it from happening, and had no control over it.
“Great Elder, I’m glad you’re here.” said Titus.
Titus was the leader of the village, he had brown hair with a moustache that
hung down, he wore robes of reds, greens and yellows, and he held the mystic
staff passed down by his ancestors, but even this wasn’t enough to defeat the
creature.
“I don’t know what to do, she’s too powerful to defeat!”
“Allow me to try.” said the elder, as he stepped up and adopted a fighting pose.
“Stay away!” she screamed, one arm holding back the other, a blast shot out, but
not directly aimed at the Elder, it hit the floor and the blast pushed him away.
“Stay... away?...” pondered the Elder.
“Like I said, she’s too powerful to defeat.” said Titus.
“Look at her hands, her expression, she’s fighting something deep inside her.”
explained the elder.
“If we can’t defeat her, then we have to help her.” agreed Titus, and they
slowly approached the woman.
“Titus, can you make that staff heal her rather than explode her?” asked the
elder.
“I believe so.”
Titus concentrated, and blue rings came out of the gem on the top of the staff,
and went into the woman, the powerful aura faded and she stopped the
destruction.
She lay on the floor and the elder helped her up.
“You don’t have control of that power, do you?” asked Titus.
“You... were able to stop me... Please... I need to be with you... I can’t
help myself when the chaos energy starts acting up.” the woman pleaded.
“Are you by any chance, a Gaian?” asked the elder.
“Yes...”
“I figured there were more of your kind, but don’t worry, if we can control your
destructive power, then no harm shall come to you.”
“Thank you... kind sirs...”
“Elder, if my power can stop her uncontrollable urges, then maybe she should
stay here.” suggested Titus.
“I’d like to... But I shouldn’t... The surges happen when I least suspect
them. Its too dangerous to be around me.” quivered the Gaian.
“I’ll do my best.” said Titus to the elder.
“Aren’t you listening?!” shouted the woman, “You’d have to monitor me always,
the surges happen at any given time.”
“And I will. I’m a lonesome yet kindly man, and I didn’t like the fighting
anyway. I promise to stay with you and protect you.”
“Thank you...”
“Tell the prince, thanks for everything.” said Titus to the elder.
“You were a fine warrior, but you must listen to your heart.” said the elder
walking away.

The demon attacks continued throughout Scion for years to come, during that
time, the metal was studied on, and Titus always kept a watchful eye on the
woman known as Kyos.
Edward had no idea that killing Zycote’s demons would empower her slowly.
After two more years of fighting, she would have all the power she needed, to
seize his kingdom, and possibly the world.
