Trailblazer (Full Story): Written by Exodus, Original Story by Exodus

After Lucia had been transformed against her will into a Mecha Knight like her
boyfriend Turok, her sister also followed up by doing the same, and later on, so
did Angus.
Turok and Lucia ended up on the side of the Resistors, on the side they believed
in, there they had freedom to go where they wanted, they had friendships, and
they had a cause worth fighting for.
As for Helena and Angus, they became robots by choice, and strangely enough,
they failed while Turok and Lucia succeeded.
Helena was clouded by jealousy and rage, and was left to die after having been
given plenty of chances to set aside her hatred and make peace with Lucia.
As for Angus, he was deceived, by the empire, and himself.
He was an honourable knight of the empire, but they had no need for honour,
while the Resistors showed mercy, and compassion for each other and for those
that deserved it, including Angus himself, but he lived a lie, and shut his eyes
to the Resistors.
It all appeared to end when he willingly had his honour taken away from him, but
doing so, he ended up destroying many lives, before malfunctioning, and
disappearing.
Angus was most definitely lost, but the Resistors had faith that he was alive,
and that they might open his eyes to the truth one day.
But it was the one they least suspected that made a return appearance...

In the Resistance Base, yet another meeting was called, “... And with the empire
remaining quiet for now, we can deal with this new matter at hand.” concluded
Gear.
A screen with a green border around it was a new addition to the conference
room, and a map of north west Scion was displayed.
“That’s...” muttered Lucia.
“The four villages of Square Valley, part of the unconquered northwest kingdom
Fiora.”
It was called this because the villages were located in the relevant places to
form a square, should someone join the dots of the villages on a map.
“Sudden fires have gone off around all four villages, nothing big though,
there’s been no casualties but no explanations, and we’ve been asked to see to
this specifically.” explained Gear.
“So what are we dealing with? Empire again?” questioned Turok.
“There’s no evidence of this being an empire attack, so we really don’t know
what we’re up against. We’ll split up into four groups, Naga and Ross shall go
to Kans, Dagger and Samia will guard Sachen, Edwina, Kirie and I will head to
Fortez, the largest village, and Turok and Lucia will go to Viess, Lucia’s
home.” Gear continued.
Lucia sighed at this, the memories of her murdered parents started to fill her
mind.
“Remember, if anyone finds what is causing these blazes, contact me on the
comm-watches... Let’s move out...”

Later on in Viess, Lucia was feeling a little uncomfortable.
“What’s eating you Lucia?” asked Turok, carrying a tank of coolant that could
attach to his hand, and fire much like his gun.
“I haven’t come back here since the empire took me away, what if I’m blamed for
the other attacks that the empire have unleashed upon the town?” questioned
Lucia sadly.
“I think Helena was more to blame, she willingly chose to join them, you’re
using something you didn’t want for the good of the world, how could they be
upset at you?” comforted Turok.
An explosion ripped through a house, and more embers caught onto the grass and
rooftops of other houses.
“No...” muttered Lucia, and the robots charged into the chaos, villagers ran
around in panic.
“I’ll get started on the fires, you should use your speed to get around and find
the one that started this.” ordered Turok decisively.
Lucia went airborne and darted around, but heard screaming from one of the
houses, childrens’ screams.
“Turok’s too far away, I have to save them.”
Lucia flew towards the burning house, and punched through the glass window,
inside were two young kids hugging each other in fear as flames consumed their
room, a blonde girl and a boy with short brown hair.
“Kate and Chad...” Lucia muttered, before carefully using her ice beam to cover
up the fires.
They ducked and trembled as the cold beam shot close by.
“No... Chad, don’t let the bad robot get me!” screamed the girl.
“I’m not here to hurt you...” said Lucia.
“Yes you are!” shouted the girl, “You have sharp claws, and my daddy was killed
by bad people with claws!”
“Krytus...” growled Lucia.
“That’s the one!” shouted Kate.
“No, I’m not Krytus, I’m a good robot Kate.”
“You know her name.” scowled Chad suspicious.
“And you are Chad, how could I forget you two, now hurry and grab hold of me,
I’ll get you out...”
Lucia held the two children under her arms, and leapt out as the upper room
exploded, and flames blasted towards her.
Her jets activated and she took to the sky, and took the kids out of harm’s way.
“Wait a minute, she knows us, she must be one of the twins that went with the
bad people...” said the girl innocently.
With that, Lucia gave a friendly stare at the children to see if they could
figure it out.
“Lucia?...”
“Then she really is a good robot!”
Lucia smiled, but then her eyes widened, as a cloaked figure blazing with flames
walked calmly through the village.
“I have to catch her...”
Lucia dived down, and stopped around the corner from the stranger to drop the
kids off.
“You should leave now, there’s a bad person around the corner.”
Lucia ran off, but the children were more curious than scared, and peeped around
the corner to see...

“Hey stop! You’re the one that’s been causing the fires!” accused Lucia.
“No I haven’t.” joked the female voice under the hood, she was blazing with fire
so Lucia frowned at the stranger’s patheticness.
“Every time I’m here, I just have to burn this place.” explained the stranger
calmly, “I just hate it so much, there’s so many memories here.”
“Guys, I’ve found the culprit, have everyone come over here immediately.” spoke
Lucia through her comm-watch.
“Thank you Lucia, that’s just what I wanted you to do.” smiled the blazing
female.
“You know me?...” questioned Lucia.
“I know you, I know this village, I know about your new friends, hey, do you
think I could join? I’d be real good at incinerating all those empire freaks.”
said the stranger, changing its tone to a strange friendly one.
“No Way. We’re not common murderers, and we don’t attack people without good
reason.”
“But I do have a reason. I hate you, and I hate this village, and as for your
friends, my master just wants them dead, nothing personal on that part.”
“Who are you?!” shouted Lucia, losing her temper already.
“Hah ha ha ha ha ha, hahahahahahahahahaha!” screamed the stranger, fiery eyes
and mouth could be seen within the hood, a familiar face.
“Oh no... Not you...” panicked Lucia.
“Yes its me Sister!” screamed Helena as she tore off the robe, but her body was
different.
Her face mask was a little melted out of place, and her eyes and mouth were
constantly burning flames.
Her shoulder pads were torn and bent, but spiked upwards, and her body was
covered with a black metal wherever there used to be holes, her skirt was torn
and twisted like the shoulder pads, and one of her legs had a darker shade to
it, with green talons.
Helena’s hair was blackened, and her gun and claws were different too, with a
skull shape for a hand with long green claws, and a black gun with green spikes
similar to the last one she had, with a skull design on it.
Helena was burning with flames, but they didn’t seem to affect her, only
everything around her.
“I thought I destroyed you, you monster, you’re the one that killed Helena’s
good spirit.” accused Lucia close to crying.
“What rubbish, I Am Helena, no matter how much you kid yourself, I am the true
form of Helena, all that sadness, all that jealousy, all that hatred that you
caused, its all coming right back at you in the form of myself, the Helena you
knew was weak, she never showed her true feelings about you, you won’t have that
problem with me.” explained the twin confidently.
“When Krytus attacked you...” muttered Lucia sadly, “That’s when you changed...
It Is you Helena... But what’s with this new master of yours, and you wanting
to attack the empire?!” questioned Lucia.
“My master saved me where you left me to die.” explained Helena calmly but
accusingly.
“I had no choice! You rejected my offer to help you!” screamed Lucia.
“He rebuilt me, and he loves destruction almost as much as I do, my allegiance
is to him, Morn obviously didn’t build me good enough to beat you, therefore,
the empire won’t be spared when my master obliterates them all.” Helena
continued.
“So where do my friends come into this?”
“Your friends could be a threat to my master’s plans, if I beat you with my new
powers, then no one will be able to stand up to my master, not even the empire
that your friends keep on beating. Shall we begin?”
With that, Helena surrounded herself in flames so that she could barely be seen,
and then the fires blasted forward, and Helena screamed out and pushed Lucia
with her speed to power the simple attack.
Lucia spun into the wall of a house, and slipped down.
“How’d you do that?...” groaned Lucia, as the flames swirled in front of her and
Helena dropped onto the floor in a crawling battle stance.
“My master controls the destructive force of fire, these powers are merely a
small gift from him that’ll ensure my victory. Wanna see?” smiled Helena
sadistically, before firing off a small red sphere that blasted Lucia back with
explosive properties.
“Ha hah!” laughed Helena, leaping up into the air, spinning, and diving down and
extending her claws.
“You won’t beat me like that.” shouted Lucia, extending her claws and blocking
Helena’s, the force pushed Helena up a little, but she spun and descended, and
got her claws stuck in the ground as Lucia jetted herself backwards.
“Grrrr, No!” she shouted, as Lucia turned around and blasted towards Helena, she
shot off a couple of small shots in defense, but Lucia was prepared this time
and dodged them, Helena was at a disadvantage.
“Comin’ at ya Sis’!” shouted Lucia, tearing down Helena’s face vertically with
her claws.
Helena screamed out, but Lucia wasn’t through, with her vision compromised and
her claws stuck, this could be Lucia’s only chance to finish the ongoing
conflict with her sister forever.
“I’m sorry Helena, but I’m putting you down!” shouted Lucia, while Helena smiled
wryly.
“I don’t think so...” she whispered, “Let’s see how You like it!”
She didn’t reconstruct the exact move, but smacked Lucia hard with a flaming
strike from her claws, and before Lucia even hit the ground, the spikes on
Helena’s gun parted to the sides, and a huge fiery beam blasted out of the gun,
the spikes helped to aim that attack solely into Lucia.
She lay weakened, and burnt, and Helena smiled, “You scar me, and I scar you
double... And that goes triple for my emotional scars!”
“Stop it!” yelled a child’s voice.
“Leave her alone you bad robot!” shouted Kate.
The two kids from before were throwing stones and wood pieces at Helena, not
that they were damaging her.
Lucia groaned, and picked herself up, before realising that the two kids was
here, and out of their league.
“No... don’t...” she muttered.
“Insolent brats! You haven’t changed at all!” smiled Helena darkly, before
aiming her gun at them.
“No!” shouted Lucia, rushing forward despite the hurt, and leaping onto the
kids, at the risk of her own life.
“Lucia!...” shouted the kids.
A flash of light and an explosive sound later, and Lucia opened her eyes, the
kids were safe and Turok had blocked the shot, he followed up by firing his own
blast, and sent Helena crashing through a house, which caused it to colapse and
bury her.
“Hey Luse’, you okay? I came as soon as the fires were dealt with.” said Turok.
“As good as can be expected...” sighed Lucia.
“That was pretty selfless Lucia, but I love you more for it.” smiled Turok.
“That’s so romantic...” cheered the girl, “Robots in love...”
“I guess...” answered Turok with a confused but friendly stare.
“Love?! Never!” screamed a muffled voice, as Helena then burst out of the
wreckage, barely damaged by the falling of the house.
“You think you’re so great, don’t you Turok!” she screamed.
“I don’t think I’m great, I know it, and you won’t get to Lucia as long as I’m
here!” said Turok firmly.
“Then I guess you won’t be here for too long.”
With that, Helena screamed and dived on Turok, they rolled some distance but she
came out on top, and her claws stretched a little outwards, so that it took both
of Turok’s hands/ gun parts to block it, but she still had her gun free.
Helena was lifted by the force of her blast hitting Turok, but received little
damage compared to him.
“Why Turok? Why do you defend this runt?! Didn’t that kiss we had mean anything
to ya?!” questioned Helena, diving down on Turok and piercing his armour with
her talons.
“It, meant, Nothing!” shouted Turok firmly, and punched Helena upwards.
Unfortunately, she kept a firm grip on Turok and lifted him too, before swinging
her legs, and kicking Turok down onto the debris of a house, he hit his back on
the sharp pieces of wood and rubble rather hard.
“Nothing?!” screamed Helena, diving down, “You ungrateful loser!”
She jammed her claws through Turok’s stomach, and twisted them a little as she
pulled away, Turok’s fluids were pouring out, and Lucia was still weak.
“Watch closely Lucia, this memory will be burnt into the back of your brain
forever!” shouted Helena, throwing her claws down again.
The new fires had got out of hand without Turok dealing with them, and the next
house over exploded, and sent Turok and Helena flying in different directions,
but damaging her more.
Turok had been flipped off the rubble and landed on his stomach, while Helena
had been lifted up, but disappeared in the flames.
Lucia instinctively covered the two kids from any flames that came her way.
“Is it... over?...” questioned Lucia, weakly walking towards Turok.
“Not by a long shot!” screamed Helena, running forward maniacally, and drawing
her weapons.
Her flames looked smaller than at the start of the battle, and this might be her
only moment of weakness, where her flame powers could be extinguished so that
the two might stand a chance against Helena.
She had dealt a lot of hits, but it was mainly because of her new powers and
speed, Lucia had beaten her before on her own, and though weakened, Turok and
she might be able to take the old Helena on and win.
“Turok!” shouted Lucia, drawing her gun and shooting a cold wave of ice on
Helena, while Turok weakly outstretched the coolant gun and fired.
“Na-arrrgh!!!” squealed Helena, waving her arms around but unsuccessfully
warding the liquid and cold blasts.
“N... No... My flames... My powers... I’ll Kill You!!!” screamed Helena
after seeing her damp and no longer fiery body, she darted towards Lucia, claws
outstretched, but a blast of energy from Turok hit her in the back, and as she
somersaulted uncontrollably into the air, Lucia leapt up and tore past Helena,
striking her deeply with her claws.
Both of them landed on their feet, but Helena was damaged, and close to the
kids, who held each other in fear as Helena gave off a menacing grin.
But her expression changed as the sounds of Turok and Lucia’s guns being aimed
at her were heard.
“Maybe next time Kiddies.” Helena spoke, before her metal wings unfolded from
her back, and she took off, leaving the kids unharmed.
“This isn’t over Sis, when you let your guard down for a second, I’ll destroy
you...” said Helena as she flew away.
“Then I’ll just have to be on my guard always...” spoke Lucia quietly.

The other Resistors arrived shortly after, too late for the battle, but they
assisted in putting out the remaining fires and Turok and Lucia were patched up
so that their lives weren’t in danger.
“Miss Lucia, thanks for saving us...” said Chad.
“You think I’d let Helena hurt you? I love you guys...”
“An’ we love you, you’re a cool robot.” giggled Kate.
Lucia smiled as she held the kids close to her, forgetting for a moment about
her troubled conflict with Helena and the constant war she fought.
Turok simply stood with gear and watched as Lucia had a moment of peace.
“We’re sorry we took so long.” apologised Gear.
“You didn’t have to worry, I helped out a little, but Lucia was the heroine
today, this is her village, its in safe hands with her around.” replied Turok.
“I think you two should return to the base and rest a while, and then continue
training in the Solid Light room, you’ve got to get better in case Helena
returns.” warned Gear.
“We will, but don’t interrupt Lucia just yet, she deserves this moment.”
explained Turok, “After everything she’s been through, and all the sacrifices
she’s made for the kingdoms, she deserves a moment in her life, when she can
feel like a regular Calian girl... without a care in the world...”
