The Fourteenth Amendment

"Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United
States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens
of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No
state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the
privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor
shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property,
without due process of law; nor deny to any person within
its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

This is the Amendment within the Constitution which the Pro-Abortion
Lobby claims:
1. A women's right to privacy guarantees her right to abortion, and
2. An unborn child is not a person.

This Amendment actually makes no such claims. It does not claim any
legal status of "personhood" at all, merely that of citizenship. It
does claim, however, that no person, whether or not a citizen, will
be deprived of life without due process of law.

In the very first paragraph of the Constitution, it states
"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect
union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for
the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the
blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,
do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States
of America.

For those of you who are interested, "Posterity" is defined:
"pos·ter·i·ty : all future generations"
All future generations, as in those not yet born.
