Scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and the National Institute of Health warned in 1986 that "induced abortions before a first full term pregnancy increases the risk of breast cancer." The National Cancer Institute funded a ten year study which concluded that a woman's chance of contracting breast cancer rises 50% after she receives an abortion. If the woman is eighteen years old or younger or if it is her first pregnancy, the rises 150%. For a woman who has a family history of breast cancer her chances shoot up to 270% if she has an abortion. Why is this so? A woman's first full pregnancy causes hormonal changes which permanently alter the structure of her breast. The completed process greatly reduces the risk of breast cancer, but premature termination of a first pregnancy interrupts this process. Instead of protecting the breast from cancer, abortion leaves millions of breast cells suspended in transitional states. Cells in this state face exceptionally high risks of becoming cancerous. Planned Parenthood, the leading provider of abortions in the United States, flatly refuses to inform women of these studies and the links between breast cancer and abortion, claiming they do not want to "frighten and upset women". Why don't we officially hear about this from the Medical profession? "The American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists are officially pro-abortion and pro-contraception. In fact, the American Gynecologist has endorsed partial-birth abortion. So it’s no surprise that you don’t hear from them." - Dr. Kahlenborn Please read more on this subject: Abortion-Breat Cancer Link Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer |
