People say nothing good can come from L.A. Two thousand years ago, they said nothing good could come from Nazareth. Surrounded by a small army of people, Jesse Christensen is a lonely man, content in his solitude. His nature forces him into the role of a saviour, a messenger of truth and love, of hope. In this quest he has had marginal success, and now his relationship with Emma threatens to destroy it all. In the Broken World, however, he seems to be more of a savior than ever, almost to the point of a messiah. With his prophetic visions, undending desire to help those in need and the power of the stigmata, maybe he is. Or maybe he's a false prophet, deluded by his desires. Truths are revealed piece by piece and all Jesse can do is follow the path they lay out to the best of his ability. But what if he's wrong? Where does that leave the world? Even worse, for him, where does it leave Emmaa?
