For Shane the end is closer than anyone can see. A devout Catholic who sees Jesse, his close friend, as a contemporary saint, he is also convinced by the state of things that the endtimes are upon us. Jesse's relationship with Emma only serves to complicate matters of humanity and faith for Shane and in his most vulnerable time he meets Kris, who changes him forever...and maybe the world with him. Jesse's powers give him the ability to be a god, but is he deserving of it? And is Shane the person meant to prevent Jesse's accension to divinity? For Shane, the dilemma becomes if God is on earth, then so too must the devil be. Who is who? And which of them is right?
