The best thing to do is to make a copy this file, then do a trial copy and paste on another copy of the file. The Generation and Surname indexes must be updated. Family names and page numbers also need changing and copy and paste the forward and backward links to wherever necessary. The last thing that must be done is to change the name of the file from example.txt to example.html so the file will be recognized as a web page by browsers. Another alternative is to delete everything from the example except, the beginning (28 lines), the between family pages code (11 lines), and the end code (9 lines). Keep a copy of the forward and backward links also. The genealogy information would then be entered directly into the "empty" Family Tree.
