Christmas Festival Field Trip Schedule--12/5/08
Bring:
instrument/equipment, music, lyre, flip folder, (pencil, reeds, valve
oil, sticks, mallets, etc.) bag lunch
(required, so you will be guaranteed something to eat), money for
food/snacks (optional)
Band music: Christmas Carols
on Parade, Field Show, We’re an American Band, *AYMATT, Classic
Christmas Carols
Choir music: Water is
Wide, Gather with the Saints, Christmas Time is Here, Candle in the
Window, Holiday Sing-a-long, Classic Christmas Carols for Choir, other
stuff(?), AYMATT
Wear: green and red, or concert
dress-white on top, black on bottom, comfortable black shoes (no heels)
10:35 Check in, check equipment, Band warms up, &
tunes
10:40 Choir warms up on risers
10:45 Load vehicles or bus. Go to Ardenwood
Historical Farm, do not disrupt classes or make any side trips to
lockers/friends, etc. Place large equipment first, then smaller stuff,
etc.
10:55 Arrive, set up
11:00 Band performs,
choir watches and listens
11:20 Change setup
11:25 Choir performs,
band watches and listens (band accompanies on Classic Christmas Carols)
11:45 Performance ends, watch Newark Choir(?),
while eating your bag lunch (if there is no group there, you may
mingle/socialize for 15 minutes, then gather together to leave)
12:05 Load vehicles or bus & return to AHS
12:20 Put equipment away, and then go to Lunch period
Remember that you will be performing from the moment you leave the
music room until you return. Represent yourself and the music program
in the best possible manner. Students who misbehave will be excluded
from future trips (see the grading policy). All school rules remain in
effect. If you have to ask if an action is appropriate or not, it
probably is not, so don’t do it.
