Meeting called to order at 7:38pm.
Laurie moved to accept the minutes and seconded by Renuka . Minutes
accepted by those in attendance.

Sylvia sent out an email about past events and also about today’s
meeting.
Fundraising Report – Jennie/Brandon/Ruth/Diana
Catalogue- We have an opportunity to do a catalogue sale from We Care
Coffee Company. The profits depend on how many items sold. We will move
forward with this fundraiser around the time of Thanksgiving Break.
Sridevi mentioned maybe asking for donations or corporate matches on
donations to the band.
We just finished the fundraising week fundraiser of snacks.
We made $136 at the Jack’s Fundraiser
We are going to do a Pizza Italia fundraiser soon.
We made $2,083.00 at the Festival of Arts this summer.

Hawaii- We are waiting for the Adventures America to get back to us
about an updated schedule.

New Business
Ruth made a motion to keep the meeting in November on Nov. 11th and
Laurie Seconded. Motion passed by those in attendance.
Band Apparel: We are looking at GTM sportswear that has a logo from the
boosters that we would add American Eagles Marching Band to the front
or back.
Jennie made a motion to order 72 jackets for $37.00 each at a total of
$3000 to sell back to band student and parents and seconded by Diana.
The propane tanks we used for the Cupertino trip to cook food with did
not work so Sylvia had to purchase 3 propane tanks in order to cook the
food.
We need to purchase a fire extinguisher for future trips.
Scot motioned to buy an ABC fire extinguisher, seconded by Diana.
Laurie motions to send a letter out to parents for the donation of
water seconded by Sylvia.

Ruth moved to adjourn the meeting Brandon seconded. Motion passed by
those in attendance. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 pm. Next meeting
November 11th, 2008 at 7:30pm.
