Concert Dress: students did not indicate very much interest in wearing concert tuxedo dress. It is now concert season and too late to make it mandatory for this year, for everyone. Students need to understand that they need to look uniform. Arielle Diaz volunteered to make a poster board for the Winter Concert, so that parents can see what students should look like.
Black pants preferred, if there is a skirt, it should be at least knee length.
Long-sleeve shirts, white buttoned up.
Ties for boys.
Prime Time advertising is again offering to send us free products. We will order various items for next year.
Old Business
Oakland Tribune Holiday Parade went fairly well. It did not rain.
Parents should come to the RA meeting in the morning.
There was confusion about which vehicles to put instruments in.
Winter Concert
The BPO usually buys 2 cakes, one carrot cake and one chocolate. Sue Mayer will purchase the cakes.
There will be a sign up sheet for students to bring desserts and 2-liter bottles of soda. Bring enough dessert for a family.
Isela has lemonade and punch available, as well.
Raffle/drawing. Some people have items available
Winter Percussion
Truck rental last year was donated. That may not happen this year. The fees for each competition this year will be $75, versus $60. The cost for truck rental will be approximate $100 each. With 20 students, that comes to approximately $26.00.
Dale Gerber moved to adjourn the meeting and Anne Damron seconded. Meeting adjourned at 8:56pm.
Our next BPO Meeting will be Tuesday, January 13, 2004.
