Band Parents Organization Meeting
September 13th 2005

Minutes
Debbie motioned to approve the minutes from the previous meeting and Anne seconded. Minutes approved by those in attendance.

Treasurer’s Report- Kathy Butler
Current balance in checking is: $ 17,329.93. Savings is $2,723.64. Our Total is: $20,103.57.
Anthony asked if we are going to move money from checking into savings. We used to slowly transfer funds that we would end up using for uniform purchases. Kathy will look into it to make sure we will be ok to move funds and still pay for all costs for the year.
Anne motioned and Isela seconded to approve the treasurers’ report as presented
Bills
Anthony for $734.30 & $ 239
Debbie Donaldson for $64.34.
Anne moved to pay bills & Denise seconded.

Membership Report- Denise Gavello
Nothing to report.

Publicity Report-
We will put dates into the school calendar for our upcoming events. We will also contact Mr. Peffer to make sure it gets up on the marquee.
The band event dates are in the school’s student agendas.

Fundraising Report- Anthony Nunes
Rita will get a deposit from Kathy to bring to the hall for the Jazz Dinner Dance.
The Jazz Dinner Dance will be held on March 25^th at the Niles Veteran Hall.
We will have a Pizza Italia fundraiser September 30^th. The last week of September will be the beginning of our fundraising efforts at school. We will sell leftover candy.
We are still waiting to hear from Rubios’ and Pick Up Stix, we have left voicemails with them and are awaiting a reply.

Old Business
New jacket and sweatshirt order forms have been handed out.
We are still working on a thank you gift from the band for Mr. Chamberlain.

New Business
We will be going to Logan High School instead of TAK this week for the pep band.
We have the Newark Days parade Saturday the 24^th.
Denise has reserved the truck for Cupertino, Independence and the Fairfield show.
We will reserve the truck for the football field show dates.
The parents have requested a lay out of the pit percussion for the shows so they know where to place the instruments.
Rita will send out a letter to the Fremont Swim School for use of their truck for football games.
