Bring: This schedule,
memorized music (Siyahamba, Come Live with Me and Be My Love, Gather
with the Saints), your best behavior, & money (money for medals
[$3.00], snacks, or pictures is optional - only if you want them)
Wear: Choir robe(?) and
black/white concert dress (white on top, black on bottom, including
black socks and dress shoes) underneath - no athletic shoes. Lack of
proper concert dress will seriously diminish your grade!
12:05 P.M. Room open - come dressed in black/white concert dress
12:35 Sign in , pick up choir robe, stretch, breathe, hum, warm up. Be
on time. (-20 points for lateness)
12:40 Get into vehicles and leave for Amador Valley High School (680
North, exit Right at Bernal Ave., head east for about 1.3 miles, turn
left onto Main St., which becomes Santa Rita, then travel about 1 mile
until you arrive at Amador Valley High School, on the left – 1155 Santa
Rita Rd., Pleasanton, CA)
1:20 Arrive and gather together
1:30 Watch Choirs (Mt. Eden HS Men’s Choir, Cupertino MS Women’s
Chorus, & Lincoln HS Men’s Chorus)
2:30 Warm up
2:50 Perform
3:10 Clinic
3:30 Pictures ($15?), pack up, hand in robes. Your performance
evaluation will be due on Monday. This is a written assignment.
3:45 Go home. Or, listen to many other choirs, if you choose to stay.
This can be an incredible learning experience, since choirs will
perform throughout the day, until 5 P.M. Also, you will receive extra
credit to boost your grade!!
In an effort to increase communication with all families of the music
program, we are asking parents/guardians to sign and return the bottom
portion of each sheet sent home.
