Music is Elementary!

There is an afterschool elementary music program for beginning and intermediate instrumentalists. Students, mainly from grades 4 through 6, sign up and take the class to learn how to read and play music. In May, at the Attendance Area Concert, these students perform in front of a live audience, many for the first time in their lives.

Since the fall of 2000, beginning students have the opportunity to sign up to learn an instrument for free, through a grant provided by the Fremont Education Foundation, in conjunction with the Fremont Unified School District.

Mr. Wong teaches beginning classes at Forest Park on Mondays through this program. The Beginning class meets at 3:05pm for one hour.

Signups begin in September for this year-long course. For more information, contact the Fremont Education Foundation.

Below is a list of all the meeting dates for the elementary music classes at Forest Park Elementary School.

Class meetings are on Mondays, 3:05-4:05 P.M., location to be announced.

In addition, we will perform at the American Attendance Area Concert on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 7 P.M., in the Gymnasium at American High School (36300 Fremont Blvd., at the corner of Alder & Fremont Blvd.).
