others load truck with equipment and music stands at AHS.
9:30am Meet
at Washington High School, TAK, on the field for a sound check/rehearsal

All
Day Room open (depending on
availability and permission). You have until 4:30pm, at which time I will lock
the door and exit the building.
5:35 Leave your domicile for Washington
High School. We will NOT meet at American. Due to traffic & parking
issues, it will be better to arrive early than late. Carpool. We will NOT
provide a bus for you. You are responsible for making arrangements to get a
ride to Washington HS. The truck WILL be parked at WHS all day. You will
be responsible for bringing your own equipment, if you did not leave it on the
truck. See Mr. Wong if you find yourself in dire straits, but do this as soon
as possible.
5:50 Arrival window at TAK. (Washington
High School football field)
6:05 Be at TAK. Be on time. Arrive and
set up. Anytime after this, we may start playing (when conducted to do so), so
be alert and prepared.
(6:05:01 You are now late and Mr. Wong loses more
hair.)
6:20 Warm up and tune
7:00 Graduation starts
Perform Pomp and
Circumstance (Band, without Seniors)
Ceremony continues…
After Acceptance of the Class of 2009, perform Patriot Dreams (Choir
and Band). Logistically speaking, Seniors are also invited to perform, but your
instrument would already need to be at the performance area, and you would need
a clear path to the concert shell, in order to perform.
After
Graduation – Load truck. I will need helpers to unload the truck at AHS. Take
your instrument home and practice.
(Thanks for playing!!!) Have a great summer!!
Reminders:
1.
When in public, you are performing. Do not play after we finish
playing together. Let our wonderful sounds echo in the ears of the audience.
Remember to always leave them wanting to hear more (not wishing you would
stop)!
2.
We have a summer rehearsal on F. July 3, 2-5pm, to prepare for the
July 4 parade. We will perform at the Fremont July 4 Parade, room open(?) at
7:45am. You may/will need rides, as we will travel to the Warm Springs area.
3.
Sign up for the Fremont Festival of the Arts to staff an ice cream
cart on Aug. 1 or 2. The profit gets divided per person by the amount of time
spent, so you can really do some serious fundraising at this event.
