Challenger

The above pictures are some of my favorites of the new Challenger. If I could spend money today, I would love to own one of the Dodge Challenger SRT8 models. I had two in the past, a 70 RT and a 74 Rally. The Challenger is about my favorite body design of all time. When the movie "Vanishing Point", from the early 70s with Barry Newman as Kowalski, first came out I paid to see is 26 times. That is serious stuff! Alas, I don't have 40K to spend on one but if I did, I would. ~Steve

I cranked up the Charger and drove it down I81 for a few miles and I saw a new black SRT Challenger in front of me and tried to catch him but couldn’t because of the traffic so I gave up. I stopped for gas at a Shell station that I usually go to around here and would you believe the black Challenger was there so I pulled up to the next pump and I told the driver that I had tried to catch him on I81. So we admired each other’s car and talked a while. It was a really nice looking car with a metallic flavor and he had the 6.1 HEMI. ~Richard

I was hoping to buy one when I retired but was not able to this year … And I am a Chevyman!!!! The price is a little to high for me too Steve and I would not get a 6 cylinder –> since there are lots of good used muscle cars out there for a more affordable price and with a higher horsepower rating than the current hemi. Chrystler needs to drop the price, raise the HP, and mass produce – like they did during the muscle car era when they were very successful -> Chrystler think roadrunner!!!! . (Also see a 2006 report of the Challenger. Either a SRT8 in the above picture or the black one that Richard saw would do the trick. ~ Bob
