The Virginia Muscle Car

Dan's Cars of today

( 32 Deuce, 63 Corvette Conv, 67 Chevy II)

Dan, another friend of mine, was the one that told me about the Pistonslap.com WEB site because of his concerns about GM products. He has a 32 Ford street rod, 63 red Vette convertible, and an SS 67 Chevy II with a 350/350hp - LT1. Dan's Chevy II is very much like Andy's SS 66 Chevy II that had a 327/365hp - L89 (see Chevy II Section). Dan had attended a NVA High School also (but not Annandale) and we probably crossed paths in a Hotshops drive-in parking lot. Hotshops was a 60/70's place where modified and muscle cars gathered, sometimes to setup for a street race or sometimes to just cruise from one Hotshops to another - as in American Graffiti (see Recollections section). In addition, Dan and I were in the same Geology Program at a Virginia College, but I ended up graduating from a University in Utah. Matter of fact while we were attending this Virginia College, I remember seeing his 55 Sedan Delivery (another Chevy similar to a Nomad) parked two streets over from where I lived. I actually met Dan fifteen years later where we work today. When I visited his home for the first time to see his cars, I remembered I had performed a percolation test on Dan's lot when his house was being built. I was a Soil Consultant at that time. It is a small world.

Dan has provides some picutres of his 1932 Ford Roaster. ~Bob
