The Virginia Muscle Car

other modifications

This is what worked for me - may not for you - you decide - your own risk - there maybe differences between your car and my early 85.

In the above photo, we took off the cable that leads from the throttle body valve to the 4+3 OD "automatic" unit. This cable is no longer used. The 6-speed's OD is "manual." (I know - I know - valve covers need painting! I have since painted them with Mid-America's factory paint - looks better ... )

Other modifications included deleting the 4+3 OD's ATF lines that are no longer needed and the deleting of the reverse lockout pin in the steering column. I am thinking of doing the same for the 76 - never liked the concept of the reverse lock out. ~Bob

Background music is "boardwalk" originally sung by The Drifters (at tribute to Jan) and rerendered by Still Surfing (http://www.stillsurfin.com/OCCD.cfm). BTW they have a great CD you can get on this WEBsite ~Andy
