Community of Mindful Living - (Parallax Press)

Mindfulness means dwelling deeply in the present moment, aware of what is going on within and all around. Since 1983, Vietnamese Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh has been teaching the art of mindful living around the world. He has inspired many thousands of people to practice mindfulness: refreshing themselves, reducing stress, deepening their understanding, and helping them find real peace and happiness in their lives.

The Community of Mindful Living (CML) was formed in 1983 to support the practice of mindfulness for individuals, families, and societies; and in 1990, CML was incorporated as a non-profit organization and Buddhist church. CML's work includes conducting retreats; developing and conducting programs for those in need; and establishing a residential retreat center in the United States.
