| Raptors lived about 85 to 80 million years ago in the Cretaceous period.A velociraptor was a clever and very dangerous carnivor it had about 80 sharp teeth ( about as shap as knife maybe even sharper ) and their teeth could reach up to 2.5cms. It has a s shaped neck on which is a thin long face with cat like eyes and a long snout, its head was about 18cm long. It would have 2 arms with 3 claws to each arm and feet with also 3 claws but the one in the middle was extra long and big this claw would cause the main damage. A velociraptor was around 5 to 6 feet long and 3 feet tall. It could run up to 40mph in short bursts lasting up to about 1 min. What made it more dangerous was its long stiff tail with it used to balence and could lash out with and this tail could come it hand for quick turns in the air. Over all a velociraptor weighted about 15 to 33 pounds. |
