I officially joined the "Abidog" clan when I married Rhoda Faye in 2000. We
had been boyfriend and girlfriend since our Sophomore year in high school, but
knew each other since we were in 4th grade. In fact, we even had to play lovers
when we were in our school play. (My mom still has the pictures!)
Fast forward to 20 years later...
I currently work as an IT Manager at Silverback
Systems, a company that develops, manufactures, and markets processors and
software to enable IP storage solutions. I've been there for almost a year now
and am really enjoying building my skillset.
I have been interested in computers ever since I was eight-years-old. I am lucky
enough to have a father who has over 30 years experience with computers, and
I was lucky enough to pick up computers from him. Although he's living in Marquette,
Michigan now, I still stay in touch with him on a regular basis. Hopefully,
we can visit him up there soon, it's really beautiful country out there, and
he lives right near Lake Superior.
My mom and step-dad live in Apple Valley, California 4000+ feet above
sea level. As you might have guessed, the climate hits the extremes over there...from
highs in the 100s to lows that might even bring snow. That's also where two
of my three sisters (and their families) live. My oldest sister Diane, earned
her doctorate this year in Sociology
and is now a Professor teaching at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Oh, and
I'm a Great-Uncle! (Became one December 2003, when my oldest nephew had a baby
girl Kylie Noel.)
From the youngest to the oldest...
