My Layer

My Layer My room, also known as "My Layer", is the place where I have the most fun when I'm not out and about. I kind of figure if I had a small refrigerator and a bathroom inside of my domain, I would never leave. I don't really allow people to go in my room when I'm not at home. I feel that it is my personal space so no one is supposed to enter. I also don't allow people to keep my door open. If you come in you must always close the door unless told otherwise. I am so protective of my room. I always know when some has been in my room, touched, or moved anything; even if I haven't been home in awhile. You can ask my mom, I get really upset when people come in my room without telling me first or without having some legitimate reason. I have a unique room. When people come to my house, my mother always shows off my room as though it's this spectacular sight. I have no problem with people taking a look, but if my room is not in an orderly fashion don't come in; you'll see it another time. . .I promise!! There are only a few things that make my room different from that of friends and any other room I've been in.

For starters, my room is blue. Not everything is blue, just the walls and edgings. The walls are a light, light blue and the edgings are darker then the walls. I guess I painted it this color so I can show everybody who enters my layer how much I love the color blue. I think if I didn't have the furniture that I have now, before I painted my room, I would have had blue furniture. It's okay though because it's white furniture- it doesn't clash. To make the walls more of an attraction, I have put glow-in-the-dark stars all over. The back of my door is what I like to call, "The Door of Fame". From top to bottom, I've put magazine clippings of famous people in a collogue form. It is so close together, there is not a speck of white showing. I have music artist such as: Snoop Dogg, Maxwell, Sisqo, Eve, and DMX. I also have actors and actresses such as: Nia Long, Vin Diesel, Freddy Kruger, and Chris Rock. It took me about 6-8 months to finish the whole montage. Right now, I attempting to do it over because it's getting old and some of the pictures are getting yellow. When you look up, you'll see medium size glow-in-the-dark stars hanging from the ceiling. In the middle of the ceiling, I have my overhead light. On all 4 side of the light shade, there is one big star on each side representing the four directions (North, South, East, and West). In the right corner of the room, I have a bookcase that has 3 different size Tweety Birds sitting on top. On one of the shelves, I have about 13 empty alcohol bottles to have as a memory of all the cool parties I've been to and got wasted.

The closet has a weird assortment of things. I have unwanted CD's glued face down with markings on the back. Also, like the rest of my furniture there is writing all over it. Anyone who enters my room, even if it's just for 10 minutes or less, has to sign something. It doesn't matter what they put or where the put it, they just have to tag. I've had people tag up their "hoods". I've even had people write a whole "book" on my furniture. I don't think I could ever paint over the writing; it's just too sentimental.
