My Religion

If you're a person that believes in God and all that, then I hope me writing about my religion does not offend you. I hope that you are an open-minded person that can accept religions other than their own. I don't want that when you finish reading this, you feel I have bashed your faiths and beliefs because this page wasn't intended to make you feel that way.

My religion is one that dates back before the B.C. era. It is also not a nationally recognized religion. It would be placed under the category of polytheism. My religion is called Wicca. There are only a few organizations that would identify Wicca as a religion. The military actually sees Wicca as a religion. In result, they military allows those whom are Wicca followers to celebrate the Solstice's and other ceremonial occasions, just like the other recognized religions do.

I don't warship God, but I do warship Gods and Goddesses. As a matter of fact, in my religion we don't really believe in God. To us God is an insignificant spirit. God is just a make believed figment of peoples imaginations. I, for one, don't believe in God because I don't see how one person can help and answer everyone's prayers. In Wicca, we believe in Gods and Goddesses, yes, but we also believe that Father Sky and Mother Earth came together to create the first "species".

If you're thinking that Wicca is a form of Satanism, it isn't--it's a form of Paganism. Wiccans don't believe in the devil, but we do believe in an evil aura. There is a way to differentiate between Wicca and Satanism. Most truly fateful Wiccans and Satanists wear the stars of their religion. The Wicca star is called a "pentacle". This star is right side up, in the shape or a regular star.(Seen rotating above) Then you have the Satanist. Their star is called a "pentagram", which is an upside-down star that forms the shape of a goat's head. It's noticeable difference and it's also one of the only ways you can visibly tell the difference between Wicca and Satanism.

The Wicca religion does have "rules and regulations", if you want to call them that. I mean we have the rule of karma, but instead of it coming back to us 10 times worse, it comes to us 3 folds. We also can't cause harm to others for personal gain. We also have to love our kind as though they were our blood relative. We don't necessarily have to beg for forgiveness if we have went against these "rules" because, trust me, Wiccans always learn from mistakes.
