Illustrator:
We
are always being surrounded by the work of illustrators. From textbooks
to magazines their drawings add colour, life and clarification to most
of the reading material we are exposed to.
There are several
kinds of illustrators working in many different areas, and most of them
have the option of almost unlimited materials, from pencil to pastel to
paint to collage.
Illustrators generally work in well-lit, clean studio spaces. Some work
out of home offices, as freelancers. Others work in the offices of advertising
agencies, retail or wholesale companies who use illustrations in their
catalogues, and other similar organizations. A degree or diploma in fine
arts or commercial art is recommended.

Web Site Designer:As
their name implies, Web site designers design Internet sites. They work
for a variety of clients, and must be able to meet many different marketing
needs. The Web site required by a large car manufacturer is quite different
from that of a children’s rights organization. Designers must be creative
and knowledgeable to meet such diverse needs. Generally, all designers
are aiming for sites with high visual quality, ease of navigation and high
market impact.
People working in Web site design generally earn between $25,000 and $60,000
or more a year.
A degree in computer
science or a related field is highly recommended, as is training in graphic
arts. Knowledge of the Internet and basic computer programming skills are
required although no formal training in these areas is yet mandatory.
