Metal_Sabre vs. Cadence

Cadence plops himself down on the forest floor. Dumping out his bag of recently acquired stuff from Karcas, he begins to dig through the contents of the now upturned bag. Finding a horseshoe, he picks it up and stares at it. With a little shrug, he pulls two twigs out of his messy purple hair and begins to beat them together. The small metal object begins to dance it's way in a large circle around Metal. Each rotation, the circumference of the circle gets a little smaller. Picking up other random objects, such as knives, rings, teacups, and whatnot, Cadence throws them into the loop. Within a few moments, Metal is completely surrounded by a circle of sharp, pointy, heavy, or otherwise unpleasant gidgets and gadgets that seem to be out to get the Knight.

Metal_Sabre draws his beautifully-crafted longsword, oddly wielding it in his right hand as if it were weightless. The various objects orbit around Metal_Sabre, as his sense come alive, quickly evaluating each one of them, and the potential danger they possess. He finds the best opening he can, using his blade as a shield, along with his armor, as he attempts to leap away the objects. To his dismay, the objects maintain their orbit around him. Quickly devising another scheme, Metal_Sabre sprints towards Cadence with amazing speed, readying to tackle the Magi, and hopefully land a few blows from the various objects that encircle him.

Cadence yelps and scampers backwards, not used to being assaulted quite in this way. Scrambling to his feet, Cadence squeaks as his own army of randomness closes in on him. Seeing no other brilliant (and quick) solution, he stops beating his drumsticks, and pouts as all his gadgets fall to the ground. Cadence quickly realizes that he doesn't have time to pout. Recounting his favorite poem, Cadence decides to take its advice. "When in danger or in doubt, run in circles scream and shout." His modifications, however, include running in something more like an elipse that manages to bring him further and further away from the approaching night. With a little giggle, Cadence shouts out, "Do you like heavy metal?" Strange creaking noises fill the air around you. It doesn't take long to realize that Cadence has manipulated the rhythm of Kuri, making her spin faster and faster. Naturally, gravity increases accordingly. And that seemingly light sword won't seem light for long.

Metal_Sabre frowns as his whole body begins to feel heavy. He drops his longsword, and unfastens his armor as quickly as he can, looking for a solution to his current problem. He looks toward Cadence, his eyes then following a tree branch above Cadence that bears a number of ice cycles directly above the Knight's opponent. Mustering as much strength as he can, the Knight barrels toward the tree from which the branch protrudes, laying his shoulder into it, hard. As he had hoped, the tree is rattled enough that the ice cycles begin to plummet downward towards Cadence. With the added gravity to the land now, the ice cycles fall towards the Magi with much greater speed than usual, and also could cause a significantly larger amount of damage.

Cadence freezes in his tracks, looking up at the icicles coming down to impale him. With a gulp, he drops his drumstics, allowing Kuri to slowly return to her normal rotations. Unfortunately, slowly isn't nearly good enough for Cadence. Grabbing his staff, the little green man quickly spins it above his head. Using both hands, he manages to get the staff spinning fast enough to knock most of the icicles out of the way. The bigger ones get thrown off course, or splintered into tiny shards by the propelling motion of the staff. A few smaller icicles find their way through the staff. Cadence's rat's nest of purple hair stops most of them, but a few of them find their way into his shoulders. With a flick of his wrists and bloodies fingers, Cadence sends his spinning staff straight toward Metal. Something tells you that moving out of the way wont help evade the rhythm master's staff.

Metal_Sabre quickly rolls to his left, manuevering away from the staff. The staff is apparently quite stubborn though, and continues its pursuit. The Knight rises to his feet, bounding through the snow as he attempts to elude the staff. He dives for his longsword, grabbing it and quickly swinging it around toward the staff. The flat of the blade collides with the staff, sending it flying in the opposite direction, the Azure Knight's weapon once again saving him from harm. Meanwhile, Metal_Sabre's other hand reaches down into the layer of snow beneath him. He lifts a large chunk into his hand and gives it a mighty toss, the snowball aiming directly for Cadence's nose.

Cadence wrinkles his nose and watches the ball of snow come toward him. Tilting his head, he wonders why Metal would gather up a bunch of soft fluffy stuff and throw it at him. Taking a few moments to long to ponder the situation, the tropical grown man has barely enough time to turn his head away before the hardened sphere clobbers his cheek and jaw.
