Blackfyre vs. Cadence
Cadence thinks for a few moments, trying to come up with something creative...but decides on starting with a well experimented attack that has worked in the past. Hoping that he doesn't end up in pieces by the time this is done, Cadence pulls two twigs out of his messy purple hair, and begins to beat them together in the recognizable rhythm of a heartbeat. Within moments, the Eternal before him realizes that it is the beat of his own heart that Cadence is mimicking. Cadence carefully begins to slow the beat of his sticks, Blackfyre's heartbeat following suit. Watching as the blood flowing through his opponents body begins to still its movement, Cadence waits for the inevitable and painful shifts that are soon to occur in Blackfyre's body.
Blackfyre gestures casually and speeds up the flow of time around Cadence, restoring his heartbeat to a tolerable pace by speeding up the rate his opponents spell moves at. When his heart is back to normal he conjures a shield around himself to block the spell further, then gestures again to increase the rate of time around Cadence to break-neck proportions, hopefully speeding him to his grave before another attack.
Cadence looks about himself in terror. His skin begins to fade and turn yellow, in the tradition of natural TalZian aging; he starts to feel tension and pains in his joints. Realizing he is in grave danger, Cadence desperately searches for a way to halt and reverse this spell. Realizing that his drumsticks are beating and an incredible rate with the increased flow of time, Cadence turns them to point toward himself. With as quick and deft a movement as his old hands can manage, he snaps the sticks in half. An incredible stillness fills his little time bubble. Having stopped this unnatural aging process, he looks for a way to undo the spell. With the slow and deliberate movements of extreme old age, Cadence pulls out two new twigs. Flipping one upside down, Cadence begins to beat them together, hoping that the minor control he has over the subtle rhythm of time will work in this Blackfyre created time zone. While waiting to see if his youth will return to him, Cadence drops the broken twigs onto the ground. Wriggling like snakes, they move to opposite sides of Blackfyre and dig down to the center of Kuri, releasing all of its pent up fiery rage through the four small holes. Of course, as with most volcano like activity, the holes don't stay small for long. A very warm rain of fire is about to fall on the very smoochable Eternal standing opposite Cadence.
Blackfyre pauses to admire the spewing pillars of magma and the resulting rain of lava for almost too long before realizing he is in danger. Thinking this would be a good time to unleash his most recently learned spell, he takes a deep breath then mutters an incantation.
With a sudden whooshing noise a cone of whirling, blackened dust. In moments the tornado grows and grows before dissipating to nothing, leaving behind a tall and somewhat disheveled looking human.
Blackfyre grins a sword-toothed grin at Cadence as rivulets of molten stone pour over his hooked snout. Rearing back suddenly on his mighty hind legs Blackfyre begins to beat his wings fiercely, directing the rain of falling lava towards his opponent as he inhales deeply and readies a blast of deadly acid breath to accompany it.
Cadence stands for a very brief moment and gapes at the dragon shaped Blackfyre that is standing in front of him. With a quick snap of his fingers, four wriggling pieces of twig come through the ground and just as suddenly as they appeared, the holes to the center of Kuri disappear. Cadence pulls out his newly acquired magical, purple crayon and begins to run circles around the dragon shaped Blackfyre. Solid lines and walls and random structures flow from the crayon, as he moves it around with a great talent. Before long, his brilliant inventiveness and talented droodles have created a very strong and very special Blackfyre shrinking machine. Cadence stands back away from the sharp teeth and acid breath and watches as horrifying dragon slowly begins to shrink into nothingness.
Blackfyre acks, not that anyone can hear his cry of distress as he is so small, and reacts by reflex, stepping outside of time momentarily to gain time to think. Gathering up his energy Blackfyre begins to mutter under his breath. Dark clouds fill the sky, fat and heavy with rain as electrical energy pulses throughout their misty forms. As time begins again the storm lets loose and a blast of lightning strikes the shrinking machine, shaking the very earth as the device is destroyed. More bolts fall from the sky, and soon the peaceful meadows of the silent stones are pocked-marked with blackened halos as the wind rises to hurricane force. A very tiny dragon takes cover under a fallen stone as the gale forces and devastating electrical blasts seem to gather in strength and direct themselves towards Cadence.

Cadence looks around at the pretty lightning streaks and begins to dance in the rain. Stopping suddenly as he realizes the danger he’s in, he drops to the ground, hoping to avoid the lightning long enough to come up with a plan. All of a sudden, he remembers that lightning and thunder go together. Without one, the other shouldn’t exist. Sound of course, is easy for a rhythm master to control. Gathering up the four pieces of broken twigs, Cadence beats them together a few times, then stops and returns them to his hair. The thunder stops and shortly after the lightning stops, and Cadence jumps up and returns to dancing in the rain, beckoning for Blackfyre and Dianna to join him.
