Misty vs. Cadence
Cadence pulls two twigs from his messy purple hair and slowly begins beating them together. As a soft and slow beat fills the air about you, he lets the sticks go, leaving them hanging in mid air to do their own work. Cadence pushes up his sleeves and smiles at Misty. Walking up towards her, he raises his arms as if to give her a hug. But as he nears her, she is lifted up into the sky, spinning slowly along with the beat. The rhythm begins to speed up; spinning Misty more and more rapidly. Misty also continues to float upwards. Being lifted high up into the skies of Kuri can be a bit dangerous, as the higher you go, the more difficult it is to breathe. Of course, just about anyone could easily get out of that, but it is a little more difficult when you cannot concentrate as you are being spun wildly about in such a way that you are almost sure to become sick.
Misty screams as the wild currents or air toss and spin her about, frantically she ties to keep her dress down for the sake of modesty. Thinking quickly Misty takes some of her herbs from the pocket of her apron and put them in her mouth, as the motion sickness subsides, she remembers a spell that a wandering mage taught her, as she slowly recites it, shapes begin to form around her as the air that is carrying her takes a physical form, slowly she talks to it in an weird tongue and as she does so it slowly and gently take her to the ground. Misty thanks the air spirit for sitting her on the ground, and smiles as she picks some herbs from the dear sweet solid earth. Rolling these herbs in her hands misty recites yet another spell she heard in passing, as she recites the last syllable she throws the herbs at Cadence, the herbs taking a goopy form and growing as they fly through the air at him.
Cadence stares at the goop with widened eyes. Having never dealt with any such thing, he freezes for a moment too long. Watching in horror, Cadence struggles as the goop bonds to his cloak and slowly begins to spread. Knowing that he needs to do something quickly before he is overcome by the ghastly malformed herbs. Cadence slowly begins to chant. The twigs still beating not far off react instantly, changing rhythms to match the chant. The wind and air react to Cadence's call. Slowly the wind seeks out Cadence, bringing all the moisture in the air to his body. Drenched and cold, he calls out again. Kuri shudders under whatever sorcery this is. An icy blast bursts through the forest, freezing the millions of water droplets over Cadence's body. As quickly as it came, the freeze is gone. As Cadence begins to thaw, the goop falls off in frozen clumps of dead herbs. Turning to Misty, Cadence grins a mischievous grin. Summoning up a large bowl up around where Misty was standing, Cadence starts pulling lemons out of his sack. The lemons keep coming and coming. You wonder what spell he has put on this sack to carry so much. Tossing the lemons in the bowl one by one, Cadence doesn't stop until the bowl in almost full. Retrieving his drum sticks, he begins to bang on the bowl in an off-beated rhythm. The lemons begin to crack and smush, slowly turning themselves into juice. Cadence knew that Misty was just craving some fresh lemon juice. Tossing in a piece of a yummy golden cake to add enough sweetness, Cadence stops to admire his work. Unfortunately, Misty is about to meet the same sticky fate as the poor lemons. Cadence's powerful beats are beginning to crack and smush her into juice as well!
Misty gets a worried look on her face, not sure what to do, this is just mean, cute guys like Cadence aren't supposed to be this mean. Squishing poor Misty into juice isn't something that she wants to see happen, summoning all her strength misty thrusts her hand down into the squirming mass of juice and lemon bits, reaching deep into her apron she produces a mushroom, delicately she nibbles a small bit off of it. In a flash Misty grows to stand over 50 feet tall, breaking the bowl and spilling lemons and juice everywhere, and more importantly disrupting the beat. Misty then tosses the rest of the tiny mushroom into her gigantic mouth and shrinks back to normal size as soon as she swallows it. She giggles at the naughty Cadence "A lady never gets juiced until the third date". Thinking that this breech in etiquette needs to be properly addressed Misty writes some small symbols on the ground, as soon as she steps back from them, the symbols begins to glow. A penguin colored woman in a funny hat appears in a flash of light wielding a measuring device of some variety. Misty Looks at Cadence and with a giggle in her voice says "I think sister Mary Margaret Francis is going to whaps your knuckles". With those words the overweight nun takes off after Cadence. Surprisingly fast for a woman of her age she chants "no juicing on the first date" as she pulls the ruler back, readying it crash down on poor Cadence's knuckles.
Cadence screeches and acks as he runs away from the evil looking lady with a big stick as fast as he can. Screaming "I'm sorry, I didn't know. I just wanted to give you a refreshing drink!" at the top of his lungs, Cadence runs away from where Misty stands, soon disappearing into the forest...measuring stick close behind. Reappearing only a few moments later with an idea, Cadence runs straight back to where his shattered bowl and spilled juice litters the ground, he hunches over and places his feet on his drumming sticks. Propelling him forward like a little flying machine, Cadence slides on over the mess he made. The penguin lady, however has no such device and before she knows what's happening, she's laying flat on her back, her feet sticking up above her, slick with lemon juice. Cadence cackles and takes the measuring stick away from her on his next trip around. Snapping the stick in half, Cadence's new flying contraption heads for Misty. Looking very innocent, Cadence sweeps up the pretty young girl and takes her flying about the forest. Flying in the arms of a sweet, handsome, young guy like Cadence can be very dangerous! You never know when you might fall in love...
Misty smiles as she is swept away, every cliche she can think of coming to mind as this dashing your stranger carries her off into the sunset, She wishes this where a great white charger, or a steed of some other variety, but this flying contraption will do. Misty gives Cadence a peck on the cheek as she tells him that she wants 30 kids, a castle in the sky, a pony, two dogs, a chicken, a summer home in Pendulis, a gardener named Caesar, and two of every Ring in the land. She also tells him he has t get a haircut, get a job working for her father, and join a bowling league. As Cadence hears the list of demands, his love magic begins to come unraveled as do all fairy tale endings......
Cadence falls over backwards in a sort of horrified shock. Landing flat on his back, he watches as Misty zooms off on his drumming sticks. While Cadence shudders and shivers in a cold sweat, Misty slowly begins to realize that she might be in trouble on this flying contraption without Cadence's expert guidance. The twigs turned flying machine seem to only be in his control. Going on the ride of her life, Misty is flown through branches, up tree trunks, along rivers, into waterfalls, up into the clouds, and to all sorts of wonderful and beautiful places. All too soon, Misty is brought back by Cadence's loyal drum sticks and dumped gracefully into his arms.
