Leyland Olympian
Ribble became closely involved in the development of Leyland's Atlantean, Fleetline and VRT replacement - the Olympian. Initially developed under the designation of B45, the prototype was delivered to Ribble in July 1980 and entered service from Blackpool Talbot Road (AC) in August 1980.
Production models began to arrive in the spring of 1981 and Ribble were honoured with the first production example - now coded ON. Deliveries continued until 1986 and were all ECW bodied lowheight examples.Deliveries did not resume again until Ribble had passed to Stagecoach and are thus outside the scope of this website.
