Handbells
I did this just for fun following a handbell rehearsal. I had noticed during rehearsal that the shape of a handbell looks complex, but that it can be described as the intersection of a sphere, a torus, and a plane. I went home, modeled it in AutoCAD, and rendered it in MegaPOV using a HDRI light probe image. This is a very effective way of presenting small reflective objects, and I’ve seen a lot of this done online by others. (I later modeled the handle and clapper.) Total trace time was around 12 hours. |
