North Carolina State University Conference Center Rabun Hogan Ota Rasche Architects
This was modeled in AutoCAD 2002 and raytraced in AccuRender. The model was developed over many months as the design progressed. This highly detailed presentation backfired somewhat; the comments by the University Design Review Board were mostly nitpicking. The more detail one shows, the more fault that can be found. |
View of entrance from courtyard. The fountain was simply painted in with Corel PhotoPaint, and added at the request of someone at the university.

Detail of Indoor Pool Area. I really can’t help but repeat that for architectural visualization, in the under $500 price range, AccuRender is hard to beat. It’s so simple to use, and the masonry procedurals are really effective.

View of entrance from nearer to the entrance canopy. All of the masonry, brick and stone, was done with procedural textures that ship with AccuRender. |
