A-kon 13 Day 1 (Thursday):
These are the highlights or just the junk I remember...
After all the late starts, meeting up with Melissa and having to stop by work, we finally made it to the open road which actually wasn't open. It took an extra hour to get out of the friggin city we call Houston because of all the extra traffic and road constructions. Then there was obnormally bad rain, followed by this huge accident that bored the hell outta us. I turned on celebrity Jeopardy and slept. Think the people who left an hour before us got stuck there more ><. Anyhow. Got to the Hyatt without any snags at all for the first time haha which was good till we decided to go find Gameworks to meet people and hang out. Getting lost in grapevine is no fun at all, especially in the end when I found out my brakes pads needed to be replaced. The rest of the night was spent sitting around outside the gameroom. Ah, and that's how I met Joy who I was supposed to meet at Gameworks. Think Alex came over with her we sat there staring at each other O_o You? You! Wah. @___@ Yeah, we talked, practiced karaoked and went to Walmart at 5am to shop for food for the next day's party. By the time we were done scaring people at Walmart, it was dawn >___<
Akon 13 Day 2 (Friday):
Crashed with a friend and then woke up to get hotel rooms for everyone. Pretty much everything during the day was boring. Dealer's room was mediocre, both of them. Ignore the showings. The highlight, being seeing all the artwork being set up at the artshow. >___< Next a-kon, remind me to not do stuff the night before and expect it to sell well. Well two sold for $47/$50 and the rest I gave away to people who would aprreciate my stuff. Meagan watched me tell this girl how great the picture which I drew and she in turn bought was. Yeah haha, I'm a dork >___< Watched some of the Duel Jewel concert and then caught Battle Royale. I have to say Duel Jewel was a very unpolished fredgeling band, but they sure know how to perform an performers always rule. Later that night, I was dragged to a drinking party. Think there were some a-kon regulars like Steve Bennet and Scott Frazier. I was really there to drink and after having a Moldiver and a er Mahou Tsuki Tai or something I didn't even notice the other voice actors. Except Melissa mentioned that I did the T-shirts and they all clapped and I covered my eyes. Haha, they said I was modest... me modest? Not so, I was just drunk. And apparently Kirsten was there and I actually didn't recognize her at first. We didn't recognized each other. She looks good, and not in a costume for the first time. And when my name came up, I was glomped. I wish I got to spend more time with her, she's always been kewl. Oh yeah, also went to the Yaoi Pajama Party, who would've guessed it was mainly girls and like 4 guys LOL. Yeah, that would've been more fun if I was still drunk ROFL. No it's not what you think.
A-kon 13 Day 3 (Saturday):
Woke up, was late meeting Valerie and Rachael. Went to get my car fixed. 3 hours of sanity was a godsend and then went back to the sensory overload that is a-kon. Ran around during the day, Was bored but hung out with Valerie more. She's kewl even if she's a ramune addict ^o^ And this was actually the first a-kon I was offered any sort of drug, even if it was only hydro, it's still surprising. Went party hopping, drinking here and there and finally settled for the party we shopped for the night before. Nice amount of the hard stuff and a bathtub filled with bottled drinks ^___^ Everyone was soooo happy, I don't how many drunk people called me their brother all night LOL. Then we invited these people from across the hotel who were out on there balcony doing nothing. They came and brought their blowup doll which they promptly threw from our balcony onto the front parking lot of the hotel. Well at lease that's what we were going to tell the cops. But all they did was stare at us for a while. I thought I took this great picture of the blowup doll falling over it it was quite dark and didn't come out... oh well. We later went outside and saw people playing with the thing ><. It's funny being drunk and making fun of the live pajama dance. The camera man kept focussing on these huge goth girls dancing @___@ So we decided to send a cute girl or two to go and try to get the camera to focus on them. And when we didn't see them we went down all slicked up and tried to get on the stage. Let me tell you, I'm no match for two fat goths when I'm slicked up, still being thrown off the stage was great fun. Then I blanked out.
A-kon 13 Day 4 (Sunday):
Woke up with my friend staring over me. She mentioned that she dragged me out of the hentai room so I could get some sleep which was what I got. I left her to sleep and wandered the hotel trying to get sober up and ran into Dowe, his group of artist girls >___<, Maz and another friend. I was impressed, Dowe rules LOL. Slept for a few hours and then checked out. Sat around listening to this random guy that wanted us to request music for him to play. It was awesome. Then went to the con suite where I finally ran into Chia. Well technically I ran into her the night before on the 32nd floor. She was being followed by this group of asian guys. I was like, where have you been all this time. (We normally hang out etc.) She said that she was the envoy. I asked envoy for what and she points at the guys. I hold up my hands and she said the envoy for Duel Jewel. I stared and if I wasn't feeling weezy at the time, I would've asked to take a picture >____< Haha, that's my typical con experience this time. Out of the 24 exposures, only like 14 were printable @___@ Oh yeah, so I finally got to sit down with her and she was all emotional. Seems she grew a bit attacted to them since she took care of them the whole time they were at the con. It was sorta an interesting way to end a con. With tears and musical requests.
Anyhow, we stopped by a porn shop just for the hell of it on the way back from Dallas LOL. And I spent Sunday night talking to Melissa who kept me company the whole time. Thanks ^____~

Before we left, I took a picture of my Girl w/Dragon picture, which they used as all the exhibit signs. Yeah I didn't notice till Sunday, I was just standing there confused and pointing. "I did that..."
You know, most a-kon's it's boring waiting for people to meet up with you so you all can drive home, but this guy kept us entertained the whole time. Brown-eyed girl... Oh yeah, it's a wistfully fine ending to a great con. Nice to meet you all and it was kewl hanging out. Till next year! ^^
