Ricoh Singlex Nikon F Mount Camera

The Ricoh Singlex with Nikon F Mount is not so be confused with the Ricoh Singlex TLS, which had a Pentax/Practica screw mount. The Singlex was similar to the Nikkorex, but substantially different in detail. It is obvious the cover and other parts are different, as is the design of the lens release mechanism. At best, it is probably based on a redesign of the Nikkorex. It is not clear whether the Singlex was licensed to Ricoh by Nikon, Mamiya, or both.

The Singlex came equipped with a non-meter-coupled, automatic diaphragm, 55mm f/1.4 Rikenon lens. Available as an accessory was a clip-on Cadmium Sulfide non-TTL meter, coupled to the shutter speed dial, but not to the aperture.
