Convert your Web server's log files to National Center for
Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) Common log file format.
Syntax
CONVLOG
[-i{e|i|n}]
filename.log
[-c]
[-d]
[-l{0|1|2}]
[-o output_directory]
[-t [ncsa:gmt_offset]]
[-x]
Parameters
- filename.log
(NT2003)
- Specifies the input file name.
Switches
- -c
(NT2003)
- Continues logging even if incorrectly formatted
line is found.
- -d
(NT2003)
- Enables DNS replacement of user IP address during
the conversion process.
- -i{e|i|n}
(NT2003)
- Specifies the format of the input file:
- e W3C Extended log file format
- i IIS log file format
- n NCSA Common log file format
- -l{0|1|2}
(NT2003)
- Specifies the date format used in an IIS log input
file:
- 0 MM/DD/YY default (U.S. date format)
- 1 YY/MM/DD (Japanese date format)
- 2 DD.MM.YY (German date format)
- -o output directory
(NT2003)
- Specifies the output directory. The default is
the current directory (
%SYSTEMROOT%\System32).
- -t [ncsa:gmt_offset]
(NT2003)
- Specifies the output type default as NCSA Common
log file format. gmt_offset is the offset, in hours,
from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The offset is a four-digit
number preceded by a plus or minus sign, depending on
your local time difference from GMT. An empty space
following the GMT offset enables replacement of IP
address by DNS name (for IIS log file format only).
