  29. Windows 2000 system commands not found in MS-DOS
    1. AT Schedules commands and programs to run on a computer at a specified time and date.
    2. CACLS Displays or modifies access control lists (ACLs) of files.
    3. CONVERT Converts file systems from FAT or FAT32 to NTFS.
    4. DOSONLY Prevents starting applications other than MS-DOS-based applications from the Command.com prompt.
    5. ECHOCONFIG Displays messages when reading the MS-DOS subsystem Config.nt file.
    6. ENDLOCAL Ends localization of environment variables.
    7. FINDSTR Searches for text in files using regular expressions.
    8. NTCMDPROMPT Runs the Windows 2000 command interpreter, Cmd.exe, rather than Command.com after running a TSR or after starting the command prompt from within an MS-DOS application.
    9. POPD Changes to the directory last set with the pushd command.
    10. PUSHD Saves the current directory for use by the popd command, and then changes to the specified directory.

    1. ASSIGN Not supported in Windows 2000.
    2. BACKUP Not currently supported.

    5. DBLSPACE Not supported.
    6. DEFRAG Windows 2000 automatically optimizes disk use. To optimize a disk manually, right-click it in My Computer, click Properties, and then, on the Tools tab, click Defragment Now.
    7. DELTREE The RMDIR /S command deletes directories containing files and subdirectories.
    8. DISKPERF Not currently supported.
    9. DOSSHELL Unnecessary with Windows 2000.
    10. DRVSPACE The Drvspace program is not currently supported.
    11. EMM386 Unnecessary with Windows 2000.
    12. FASTHELP This MS-DOS 6.0 command is the same as the Windows 2000 command help. Windows 2000 also provides an online command reference.
    13. FDISK Disk Management prepares hard disks for use with Windows 2000.
    14. INCLUDE Multiple configurations of the MS-DOS subsystem are not supported.
    15. INTERLNK The Interlnk program is not supported.
    16. INTERSVR The Intersvr program is not supported.
    17. JOIN Increased partition size and an improved file system eliminate the need to join drives.
    18. MEMMAKER Windows 2000 automatically optimizes the MS-DOS subsystem's memory use.
    19. MENUCOLOR Multiple configurations of the MS-DOS subsystem are not supported.
    20. MENUDEFAULT Multiple configurations of the MS-DOS subsystem are not supported.
    21. MENUITEM Multiple configurations of the MS-DOS subsystem are not supported.
    22. MIRROR Not supported in Windows 2000.
    23. MSAV The Msav program is not supported.
    24. MSBACKUP Windows 2000 provides the Backup utility (in the Administrative Tools in Control Panel) for computers with tape drives, or the xcopy command for computers without tape drives.
    25. MSCDEX It is unnecessary to configure the MS-DOS subsystem to use a CD-ROM drives. Windows 2000 provides access to CD-ROM drives for the MS-DOS subsystem.
    26. MSD Use the System Information snap-in. To start System Information, click Start, click Run, and then type msinfo32.
    27. NUMLOCK Not currently supported.
    28. POWER The Power utility is not supported.
    29. RESTORE Not currently supported.
    30. SCANDISK The Scandisk utility is not supported.
    31. SMARTDRV Windows 2000 automatically provides caching for the MS-DOS subsystem.
    32. SUBMENU Multiple configurations of the MS-DOS subsystem are not supported.
    33. SYS Windows 2000 will not fit on a standard 1.2 MB or 1.44 MB floppy disk.
    34. UNDELETE Not supported in Windows 2000.
    35. UNFORMAT Not supported in Windows 2000.
    36. VSAFE The Vsafe program is not supported.
