Storyline - Luke's Revenge

The war between Skyscape and the Triad Alliance brought about catastrophic changes to the plane of Albazard. Skyscape managed to control the Canvas, source of the plane's very nature, and Hizor Hares, head of the Chrona Institute and member of the Triad Alliance, decided to use Chrona's ultimate weapon - and hope for the best.

The best, however, didn't happen. On the contrary. Chrona Institute's main research subject was time. As such, they had been working for a long time on a way to manipulate it. The studies weren't conclusive yet, though, and although they had been succesful before with smaller experiments, no one knew which consequences a more intense use of such skills would result in.

But Hizor had no choice. It all came down to possible doom versus doom for sure. The other parts of the alliance, the Kampa Institute and the Ophine society, agreed it was time for their last stand. And so Chrona's unfinished weapon, the Timescope, was put to use. The weapon consisted in a magic scepter bursting with blue mana, able to send a target back millenia in time. Their target was the floating island of Skyscape itself, where was the mysterious mastermind behind the invasion. And so they did it. Blue mana burst in a swirling ray, until it met the island in the sky. In the end, the entire island vanished forever in the mists of time, and this way Skyscape's control over the Canvas ceased to exist. It was no time to celebrate however, because from the Eternal Mist, the gray veil that surrounded Skyscape, emerged a humanoid form. Arnon, former Chrona prodigy, now allied with Skyscape, quickly recognized it as Krisel, Skyscape's ruler. His aura was disturbingly different, however.

Krisel finally landed from his flight, his blue skin glowing in a dangerous mood. He introduced himself, and showed what had happened to him: he had absorbed the energy from the burst, and his powers now emulated that of the now destroyed Timescope. Hizor suddenly realizes: he had been lured. The Triad Alliance had failed to discover the reasoning behind the invasion thus far, but now it was clear. Skyscape's recruiting the best Chrona student now made sense: they wanted to be informed about the secret time experiments, and apparently, Krisel was expecting them to use the Timescope against Skyscape. He had prepared everything; a mad experiment to try and drain the Timescope's power into his body, and now he had finally achieved it. He demonstrated his newly gained powers by sending Arnon to a faraway and unknown time. "You did a great job, Arnon", he said, "but you're connected to this people, and you would always be a liability".

And so the curtain falls to show a new, terrible war. Skyscape's armies were now backed up by an unbelievably powerful leader. Krisel's target, oddly enough, seemed to be the city of Meriador, home to the Kampa Institute. Hizor and Nodin, head of Kampa, were intrigued - it seemed as if Krisel wanted to retrieve something that was lost in the mist of times, in Meriador. They had no time to figure it out though, since, soon enough, Skyscape's forces were striking against the city. In this battle, Nodin, regarded as the wisest man in the city, fell facing the terrible power of Krisel. And this way Krisel commited his worst mistake.

Luke, Nodin's son, was known to be a very gifted young man. He was of a peaceful nature, though, and had retired from the command of Kampa's celestral-riding Skysquad. During the war, he had been back on duty, due to a plea of his father and hero, Nodin. But now Krisel had murdered Nodin, and the people clamored for a new leader. With his heart filled with anger and sorrow, luke stepped up, and promised to lead the Triad Alliance to a devastating victory. Soon enough, he promised, he would show the reason he never wanted to fight; his amazing secret power, which could lead to the destruction of the world itself if not used properly. Luke, they found out, possessed a very strong mental control over any of his troops, getting to the point of making a soldier's muscles burst in strenght with his very mind and leadership. He dudn't like to recur to these powers, but now they were threatened by the most powerful enemy they have ever met. Now, finally, it was time for the most powerful man in the whole Albazardan continent show his true strenght.

Both sides are prepared, and the conclusion of this war, with such absurdly powerful foes, might as well bring everything to a terrible end.

And so begins Luke's Revenge.
