THE MAGE& The Pagan

WHAT A DAY

The town will never forget the day
the Pagan and the Mage went out to play
having given the old witch a potion to drink
then locking her away under the sink

They built for the old Wizard a tower
using only  rubber cement and flour
The Mage said  a quart, the Page said an ounce
whichever they used the tower can bounce
from the side of the house to the top of the car
it carried the wizard off to lands afar
They clapped their hands and shouted with glee
watching  the witch try to break free
For  the wizard cast a spell upon the sink
locking it tightly and causing a great stink
And now as he bounces hither and yon
his magical spell remains securely on
They called down  a snowstorm in  mid July
from out of  a bright sunny summer sky

The  mailman they cursed with pigtails, the gerbil with curls
Nothing was safe from these playful little girls
The old wizard's tower landed in their yard
it ejected  the old wizard, it landed so hard
They howled with laughter as he landed in the weeds
leaving him covered with dandelion seeds
The Wizard growled and scowled upon seeing the mess
and the tower bounced away heading to the west
with a wave of his hands the sink was unlocked
freeing the old witch, leaving the girls deeply shocked
"What have you done you old fool" they cried
the evil witch herded the Pagan and the Mage inside
To this day  the world is  covered in little dents
from the bouncing tower  of the days events
With the old wizard close behind it with a bottle of glue
laughing and chuckling , shouting ,"I'll be back  for you two"
