Introduction

. . . .I started collecting Castle-themed LEGO sets when I was five years old, and I've never stopped. Okay, I tell a lie. I did stop from about ninth grade to eleventh grade because I thought I was too old for LEGO. Thing is, I kept having dreams about my Castle minifigs, and, well, the rest is history!
. . . .For most of these many years, I've been slowly building a story behind the castles. My Castle universe contains all of the factions and characters familiar to Castle enthusiasts, plus oodles of brand new characters. I am thrilled that Pawel, Craig, Shiri, and others have put together Castle World. Really, I've always kind of wished I had a forum with which to share my stories. . .and now I do! Thanks, guys, for your hard work and also for the inspiration!
. . . .By the way, my world only runs from the Crusaders/Black Falcons era to the Fright Knights era. The "Yellow Castle" era is akin to the halcyon days of yore--probably because I missed those sets the first time around and they have eluded me ever since. The Knight's Kingdom characters don't appear, although elements from Knights Kingdom abound.
. . . .Basically, here's my opinion of Knight's Kingdom:

. . . .So, the freshmen offerings were a mixed bag. I see awesome potential, though, should Knight's Kingdom come out with an inn, a smithery, and the like, and the mere existence of a fine jousting set fills me with hope. I have guarded but optimistic expectations for the sophomore effort.
. . . .Anyway, on with the show!
