This poem is about a friend of mine who was very close to his grandma.  She passed away when he was young.  But she was always around whenever he needed someone to talk to.

She taught me how to cook

She picked me up and made me fly

Most of all she taught me love

How I wish she didn't die

With out her my heart felt empty

My thoughts on life were bleak

My heart ached with pain

My body grew slow and weak

But then I heard her speak to me

Her voice rang in her ear

As distant as she as from me

She never felt so near

I'd gaze out the window for hours

To her I told my cares

Although I never saw her

I always knew that she'd be there

She stayed with me throughout my life

She comforted me when I cried

Her advice and wisdom

Made me strong inside

Now that I have grown

Seems like so much time has passed

I have not forgotten my grandma

A love that will for ever last
