This is a poem that I wrote quite a long time ago after deciding to go for a walk by myself.

My Fingers are cold

My breath is white

Why am I out

on such a cold winters night

I pull my jacket tighter

To keep out the cold

Tug on my scarf

to be sure it will hold

As I look through the night

the trees all stand still.

As I look at the beauty

I hardly feel the chill

A smooth coat of snow

Blankets the land

like a long rolling beach

filled with powdery sand

Each tiny flake waits

to catch the light

so it can sparke liked diamonds

and cut through the night

Thousands of snowflakes

fall from so high

it seems there are as many

as the stars in the sky

Each place the flakes land

is so unique

one even landed

on the side of my cheek

As I walk alone

In the dark of the night

I will never forget

Such a beautiful sight

Nature is beautiful

Be it Winter, Spring, or Fall

Stop to see the beauty

God creates for us all.
