OTAKU PROMISE BET 2005
What's Up?:
Well apparently cosplaying has grown amongst my peers over the
past years. So now the "Otaku's
Promise Bet" has it's own series under the Costumes section under
Groups because most likely there will be more to come! Now on with the Otaku
Promise Bet of 2005!
Intro and Story:
Hmm what to write for the intro? Okie well once again, here we go!
A group of my close friends and give a try at cosplay for a day during our high school's Anime Club meeting for the First Annual Cosplay event. They were suppose to dress up and explain the hobby, but unfortunately it never pulled through. So I was stuck with the three remaining members of the Amigops (our happy little gang lolz). Originally all nine of us signed up, and we suddenly diminished to three. I almost pulled out due to the fact that all my honors and advanced courses and art projects were killing me, but I decided to do a really ghetto gettup instead of leaving my teammates hanging! So I figured I could just stand there and make their costumes look even more awesome-er! lmao. My worse cosplay EVER! Does anyone ever notice I always do crappy costumes for the Otaku Promise Bets xD? Oh wellz anywayz, the main point is Kristina and Scott looked great!
Now Halloween was on a Monday (and we had Monday and Tuesday off for a Teacher's Meeting and All Saints Day). Three guy amgiops met up and dressed up as two Organization members and a samurai...xD Please don't ask O.o So we dressed up on Friday the 28th of October because a few of us couldn't make Halloween Day. No one dressed up but us, quite awkward feeling. And watching Fushigi Yugi in my horribly constructed costume bothered me, so we ran down to Union's ColdStone Creamery to celebrate! yea that's what happened, and magically for the largest Catholic, private school in New York, no one has really cosplayed before. How sad! lol.
No write-ups this year because there were so little of us who agreed and did our end of the deal, but here are some photos and reference pics!
