SOUL CALIBUR II TALIM COSTUME

Video Game: Soul Calibur II
Intro: Ok, so plans for the FFIX costumes are on hiatus. Well, one day my I (Tal) was talking about this awesome character named Talim in Soul Calibur II. Tin had loved the first Soul Calibur since she used to play it a whole lot in college while waiting to eat with her friends! She used to either play Kilik or Xianghua. So, now an opportunity came along to play a great character, Xianghua for TinTin! =)
Tin says: "Besides, her costume seems so pretty! As of right now, this costume is gonna be a ghetto one...-_- Too little time and lack of skills is hurting me! Hopefully it will stay together for the con, haha. It wont' be 100% accurate, but I'll try to get close..."
Silly Tin! You're Xianghua turned out wonderfully! And you finished before me, Tal! And you looked gorgeous in it sis ^^
Construction Notes:
Crown: Made from a foam visor, blue ribbon, and paint. Very pretty, I must admit! She did such a lovely job with the rising paint swirls!
Hair: Clip hair up and leave some bangs on the sides and front ^^ She looks so pretty!
Top: My sister's first real sewing job! A halter with a collar neck thing! She did a great job, and the white satin she used (that was supposed to be for Beatrix's coat lol) was perfect! I think she bought a ready-made pattern and used it as a template. I loved the way she did the main design! She used hard gray felt, black puffpaint, and marker. The other golden designs were of dragons and flowers. Not to mention how much gold ribbon she used xD
Sleeves: Beautifully done again, by my sis Tin! Made from the same pretty white satin! She used orange paint for the vine design. Then she used blue/purple ribbon and red puff paint for the boxy design at the end of the sleeves.
Capris: Bought from Walmart and then had ribbons sewed to the side with gold vines painted on xD
Scarf Belt: Bought from AC Moore and painted dragon designs at ends. Used skinny blue/purple ribbons to attach to shirt.
Shoes: GAP ballet shoes with colorful ribbons xD
