I am locked in:
My debts loom like dark clouds.
Careless whispers urge the piper on;
I dance in slow measures.
I have taken my pleasures as I would
And now must pay.
Some unknown act hangs,
Suspended in your shadow,
Pulls me in and holds fast.
This dream wraps around me
In the night.
I must perform
But have not learned the part;
Must move ahead
But cannot see the way.
You hide the light and block the day.
I am locked out.
