Assassins
by BlueMew
Ok… I’m not really sure where this came from… I don’t even remember writing it…. Let’s just say some things that are legal in the Netherlands aren’t legal in the US. And I was in the NL when I found this scribbled in my email. I wrote it. I just don’t know why.

If you didn’t like Hannibal, just hit the back button on your browser and leave right now. I’m serious about this. And for all you rabid BSB, Nsync, and Britney fans out there… if you can’t stand the thought of losing your precious boy band members or the blind slut that’s with Mr. Timberlake (I’m serious… she could do SO much better than him… he’s UGLY) in fiction, hit your back button right now. Go read something a little more light hearted. I’m not going to say which ones get targeted, but you lose three of the BSB, three of NSync, and one silicon princess.

Let’s see... I’d rate this one NC-17 for content. There’s lots of graphic death. Hence the title. Assassins. If you read the tour bus, this is nothing like it, but I’m using the same names for people that I did in there. So get ready for more insanity from Sara and Irene!

“Dude, I’m going to quit that position at the main office. I can’t get by on minimum wage anymore.” Irene sighed as she poked at the slop the university’s cafeteria tried to call sweet and sour chicken. “I’d do anything to make some real money.”
Sara nodded as she set her glass of sprite down on the table and wiped her mouth. “I hear ya. I’m trying to get enough money to go home again.”
“You could always be a prostitute.” Delilah, another friend of the girls’ said as she pulled up a chair to the table where they were sitting.
“If we didn’t live in a podunk town where everyone knows your name, I might consider it.” Sara laughed as she looked at Delilah. “You making any money showing Rapper?”
“A little.” Delilah shrugged as she started eating her lunch. “But not enough. I’d like to bring Molly out here and show her too, but transport just costs too much.”
“Yeah.” Irene sighed as she laid her head down on the table. “I’d seriously sell my soul to get a million dollars.”
Delilah, who had just finished chewing through a mouthful of the slop, stood up from the table and sighed. “I’m going to Burger King. I’ll talk to you later tonight.”
“Later.” Sara sighed as she continued to poke at her lunch. “So what are we going to do about money? There’s so many concerts I want to go to, and so much doujinshi that I need to buy, and well, I’ve got about thirty dollars to my name right now.”
“The fast food restaurants are paying ten an hour. Maybe we could go there?”
“I really don’t want to work in a grease pit.”
“Not even Waffle House?” Both girls laughed. That restaurant was their favorite grease-hole in the entire country.
“I heard you say that you needed a job.” Irene and Sara looked up to see a man wearing a black trench coat and cowboy hat. “If you’d come with me, no questions asked, I’ll give you a half million dollars.”
“Hey!” Delilah called across the room as she ran back to the table. “I forgot my keys.” She smiled at the man who was standing at the table, then looked back down at Sara and Irene. “I’m off to the barn. Rapper’s going to be shipped to Congress today, so I’ve got to be there to send him off.”
“Are we going soon?” The man asked Sara and Irene.
“What are you two up to now? We all know what happened the last time you two went somewhere.”
“Would you like to make a half million dollars too, no questions asked?” The man asked Delilah.
The shorter blond shrugged. “Why the hell not?”
“Follow me.”

“I want to thank you girls for accepting my offer.” The man in the black trench coat stated as he pulled his silver van out of the school’s parking lot. He turned west on Main Street and started heading out of town, with the girls sitting silently in the back of the van. “This is your last chance to back out. Once I tell you what I want, you must follow through with your end of the deal. I will let you out of the car, no questions asked if you would like.”
“I’ll do it.” Sara, who had been called the money grubbing opportunist of the group, said without hesiataion.
“Me too.” Irene nodded to her friend, then looked over at Delilah. The elder blond still didn’t seem too sure about the situation.
“This is for the money.” She sighed, hoping whatever the man wanted wouldn’t be as horrible as she imagined.
The man nodded. “Very good. My name is Loki, and I am part of an organization that wants to help people settle their differences in the quickest way possible.
“You will get a half million dollars if you kill Sinead O’Connor, and another half million if you bring me her scalp. She is staying near Toledo tonight. Here is a map of the apartment.” Loki handed a manila envelope to Sara. “Once you are finished, come to me at 5:30 AM in the Railway Diner in McComb. There, you will receive your payment.”

“I can’t do this!” Delilah whined from her seat in the back of Sara’s black Neon.
“You don’t have to go in.” Irene sat in the passenger seat, sharpening the twelve inch bread knife she had found at her parent’s bakery. “You can be the getaway driver.”
“But I’ll still be an accomplice!”
“Look.” Sara sighed as she slammed on the brakes and threw the car in to park, causing both passengers to slam forward in to their restraints. “I don’t like the idea that we’re becoming felons, but a half million dollars is a hell of a lot of money, and I’ll go kill her myself if you two won’t go.”
“I don’t have a problem with it.” Irene flatly stated as she finished sharpening the knife. “I need the money.”
Delilah sighed. The two girls sitting in front of her had been dubbed ‘partners in crime’ by other people on the college campus, but she couldn’t believe that the girls would actually go through with a scheme as crazy as this. “Fine.” She snapped as she stepped out of the back seat of the car on to the road. “Let me drive then.”

“Remember, the guns are only to be fired as a last ditch effort.” Irene whispered as she holstered the police handgun Sara had stolen from her uncle earlier in the day.
“I’ll be around back.” Delilah whispered to the others as Sara and Irene stepped out of the Neon. As soon as the girls shut the car doors, Delilah was out of sight.
Silently, Irene and Sara made their way through the darkness towards the townhouse style hotel apartment where their first victim was to be found.
Irene examined the door. Suprisingly, it was unlocked, and the two girls dressed from head to toe in black walked inside.
She silently made her way up the stairs, brandishing the sharpened bread knife, while Sara opened the brown paper bag that the scalp would go in.
Irene smiled as she crept in the bedroom. All she needed to do was be make one quick slice across the jugular, hopefully slicing through vocal chords in the process so the victim couldn’t scream.
Sighing, she slammed the blade down right below the woman’s throat, and quickly drug the blade across the length of her throat.
There was an audible gagging sound made by the victim as the crimson blood gushed from her neck, but it soon ceased. Another few slices removed a chunk of scalp, and Irene threw the skin towards Sara, who placed it in the bag.
Casually, the girls walked out of the hotel apartment, as if nothing happened.

Loki looked down at his watch as he sipped his coffee in the Railway Diner. 5:27. He would be meeting the girls today. The local papers were all abuzz with the news of the slashing and scalping.
The bell on the door rang as Irene calmly entered the diner, carrying a large black purse. She sat down in the booth with Loki and smiled as she asked the waitress to bring her a cup of coffee as well.
“I hear that you did well in English.”
Irene nodded and smiled as the waitress set the cup of black coffee in front of her.
“Indeed. I even received a sticker on the test.”
Loki smiled as Irene downed the cup of coffee in one gulp. “I guess you can get your present now.” He stood up, motioning for the brunette to follow him. She laid a dollar and some change on the table for the coffee, and followed Loki out to his silver van. Once inside, Loki placed a brown briefcase from next to his seat on his lap. He clicked it open, revealing the money that he promised the girls.
“Do you have the scalp?”
Irene nodded and pulled the brown bag from her purse, opening it just enough so Loki could see it.
“Keep it.” He said as he closed the briefcase and passed it to Irene. “Would you be interested in staying on as assassins? You wouldn’t have to worry about money ever again, and apparently, you’re good enough to handle it.”
Irene shrugged. “Whatever. As long as we can still live normal lives, we’ll do it.”
Loki nodded. “Ok. Just keep this phone with you. One of us will call you a day before you are needed.”
Irene smiled. “We won’t let you down.”

***

“I can’t believe how easy this has become.” Sara stated to Loki as she took the briefcase from him. It was the fifth slashing and scalping the girls had done, and they still had the police baffled as to what kind of maniac would be killing celebrities. No one would ever suspect medical students and an equestrian… those were respectable professions, especially the medical students. They were trained to save lives, not end them.
“Don’t get cocky on me kid.” Loki said as he lit a cigarette. “The agency wants to start having you three travel. We’ve just received an offer for five to ten million for you to go to Florida to take out some people. Multiple killings pay great, but you’ve got to be careful with them… they could be your downfall.”
“I’m sure we could handle it.” Sara snapped as she stared out the window. “We’re professionals, you know. The fucking police don’t have any clue as to who’s doing any of this. The Toledo Slasher has been described as a dark skinned man in his late twenties.” The blond pointed to herself. “Last I checked, I didn’t look like that.”
“Fine.” Loki sighed as he pulled the van in to the parking lot where Sara’s Neon sat with Irene at the wheel. “Use some of this money to get tickets to Tampa. There will be a man with a sign that says Kastner. Go with him.”
Sara smiled as she got out of the van. “Don’t worry chief. We’ll be back soon. And we won’t disappoint you.”
