"I should really start looking again..." Joey sighed from her spot on the living room couch, on top of Pacey. The morning had started innocently enough, they woke up late, made breakfast together--well, she made breakfast, he made the coffee--and then they took a shower. Joey had promised herself today, five days since she'd started sleeping with him, was the day she'd resume her search. Unfortunatly, after five minutes of looking through the china cabinets with Pacey watching her through hooded eyes from the couch, she'd given up and thrown herself into his waiting arms. She'd been too impatient to wait until they got to a bedroom and stripped him of his clothes right there on the faded floral of the plush couch. Pacey, of course, hadn't complained. Who was he to stop her from ravishing his body? He couldn't remember a time when he'd felt so blissfully content. Or so starved for another person. The last two days had been the most carefree and enjoyable in years. He treasured the slow pace of the day, where his biggest concern was if he and Joey could keep their hands off one another long enough to make something to eat. "You're probably right," he pouted playfully. She arched an eyebrow, "You really think that look works on me?" He batted his eye lashes at her and she shook her head. "I have news for you, bub. I'm immune to that look." She smirked, "Especially from the likes of you." "Oh. You are, are you?" He shifted his hips, and she felt him move deep within her where he was slowly growing hard again. She felt a rush of deeply seated pleasure course through her, "Ohh.." She swallowed, "Okay, that I'm not so immune to." He trailed his hand up where the sweat had slickened her bare back. "That's what I was counting on." He caught her lower lip and sucked it into his mouth, throughly distracting her from leaving him to continue her search. The road had been passable since yesterday morning, but neither of them had brought up the fact. He'd only just admitted to himself he didn't want her to leave yet. Aside from his inexhaustable desire for her, he enjoyed her company. Over the last ten years, he hadn't allowed himself to think much about about the past. It was over and done with, why linger over it. He thought of her a lot, but he never entertained the idea of seeing her again. But now, with her straddling his torso, as close to him as a woman could be to a man...he knew just how much he'd missed her in that time. He made slow love to her on the couch. Or she made love to him. He couldn't be sure which. Feeling her tremble in his arms, her essence bathing him and her soft whimper of pleasure in his ear, he was overcome by the desire to hold her there forever. A big giant 'Danger' sign went off in his head. He placed gentle kisses over neck and shoulder at the same time he gently eased her away from him. "You're right." She met his eyes with her doe brown ones, obviously still caught in the daze of her orgasm. "I'm..?" A tender smile crossed his handsome features, she looked so beautiful, like something you spent your whole life hoarding and protecting from the world. "I said you're right." He stood up from the couch and scanned the room for his boxers. "You should get back to your search. The road's clear now, so as soon as you find whatever it is you're looking for, you're free to go." His back was to her as he pulled on his shirt, he planned it that way, not wanting to see the hurt in her eyes. Or see the hurt that wasn't in her eyes. "Oh." When he turned back, her eyes were down cast and she was holding a pillow to her chest, partically covering her nakedness. He shrugged a shoulder wearing the same cool mask she'd seen the first night, nearly a week ago when she'd stood on his doorstep in the rain. "Speaking of...I should start looking for that will again." It was a cowardly thing to do, but he didn't want to be in that room anymore. Not when she sat there, so very still, looking so very vulnerable. "Yeah," Joey nodded, looking up at him again, her eyes hard. "I really shouldn't have let you distract me like that. I mean, I have a life to get back to." She frowned at him, waiting for him to leave. "Right." See, it wasn't so bad. She was just as anxcious to leave as he was to have her go. "I think I'll go through the attic today. I probably wont be down until dinner." He started hedging his way to the stairs. "That's fine," she watched him like a hawk as he left. Like hell she'd sit there all demure, like it didn't matter that he'd just said in not so many words he wanted her to leave right after they'd just had sex. She was at least going to make him feel guilty for being an ass about it. "Okay...bye." He turned and went up the stairs, a little faster than his usual lazy pace as of late. Joey hugged the pillow tighter to her chest, letting her face fall. So, he was ready for her to go now. He probably thought she should feel lucky that she'd managed to hold his attention for five days. She sighed, what she wouldn't give to talk to her sister right now. She threw the pillow away and stood up to gather her clothes. Well, screw Pacey. Maybe he was ready for her to go, but she wasn't just yet. As long as she was under this roof looking for that damned piece of paper, she wasn't going anywhere. If he thought he'd get rid of her and fly in some anorexic Barbie doll to satisfy his needs, he had another thing coming. He'd just have to suffer having sex with her until she'd found her papers. She paused for a second and laughed. Pacey was doing bad things to her mental statis. Pacey? Suffer having sex? Yeah, right. She calmed herself down. So what if he wanted her to go? No big deal. She'd just find the papers and leave. She steeled herself not to feel the pang in her heart at the thought of leaving. Who needed Pacey Witter anyway? ![]()
