silk fabrics come from small off-white, colored silkmoths.
Like
many insects the silkmoths have a four-stage life cycle beginning
as an egg. It is easy to watch the complete life cycle as
long as there is a Mulberry tree nearby.
Once
new spring leaves appear on a Mulberry tree, the eggs may be set on fresh
leaves in an uncovered box.
These are tiny silkworm eggs.
