BALLET BASICS PHILOSOPHY
I developed a philosophy to identify this class, which had so much promise as a haven for the novice, returning and continuing ballet enthusiast, wherein the learning experience would be a positive one. There would not be professional nor advanced students permitted, classes would be small approximately 12 students per group which allowed individual attention. Definitely a Non-Competitive atmosphere...Supportive and Patiently Taught, creating a nonstressful ambiance making it easier to learn and progress.I believed that the principles of Ballet could be beneficial to adults in all walks of life and that adults have the ability to focus, concentrate and absorb the teachings of this art. They would feel a lot more confident about themselves as a result of looking so much better - walking, standing and sitting.
A friendly comfortable feeling does not deter from the Ballet teachings which are observed as to courtesy, attire and consideration of fellow students. Each person leaves feeling fulfilled and appreciating the fact that a classical Ballet class has been accomplished. The longer they attend, the better they feel about it. As the old adage states...practice makes perfect!
