Ecology is the interaction of biotic (living entities) and abiotic (nonliving items) in the environment and how they affect each other.
   - Interactions in the environment and the biosphere pyramid af ecological structure. From population to biosphere.

 - Ecology terms and definition. See note #1
Make sure you are familiar with these terms. Dicussions, notes and questions impossible you don't know these terms.
    - Types of biotic beings: producers & consumers (primary, secondary, etc.)
       herbivores, carnovores, omnivores, decomposers.
    - Neccessities for life, habitats and niches in various ecosystems

 - Species at risk; 5 classification terms

 - Food chains and food webs (watch your arrows)

 - Energy in the ecosystems, trophic levels and energy pyramids (different types)

 - The cycles

          - Water

 - Carbon

 - Nitrogen

 - Phosphorus (just mentioned not studied)

 - Nutrients

    - Pesticies and bioaccumulation

 - Population studies and histograms; limits, groth and factors effect a population size.

 - Canadian, North American Biomes
        Major project with presentation
    - Soil and pH

 - Polution affects in the environment
