Ecology is the interaction of biotic (living entities) and abiotic (nonliving items) in the environment and how they affect each other.

1. Interactions in the environment and the biosphere pyramid af ecological structure. From population to biosphere.

   Make sure you are familiar with these terms. Dicussions, notes and questions impossible you don't know these terms.
3. Types of biotic beings: producers & consumers (primary, secondary, etc.)
   herbivores, carnovores, omnivores, decomposers.
4. Neccessities for life, habitats and niches in various ecosystems
5. Species at risk; 5 classification terms
6. Food chains and food webs (watch your arrows)
7. Energy in the ecosystems, trophic levels and energy pyramids (different types)
8. The cycles
   1. Water
   2. Carbon
   3. Nitrogen
   4. Phosphorus (just mentioned not studied)
   5. Nutrients
9. Pesticies and bioaccumulation
10. Population studies and histograms; limits, groth and factors effect a population size.
